Pakistan Sports Council Of Persons with Disabilities Scope
The Policy on Sport for Persons with a Disability is consistent with the scope of the federal and provincial government's involvement in sport.

The Pakistan Sports Council was formed as Sports forum for people with disabilities; which works to empower persons with disabilities so that they can participate fully in society in all possible capacities for better living. The Policy's objectives and strategies apply to Sport programs and initiatives. It respects provincial jurisdictions and promotes collaboration and partnerships between governments and stakeholders to achieve common objectives. The Policy will direct the work of Sport Pakistan with organizations involved in Paralympic, Special Olympic and Deaflympic sports, including National Sport Organizations, Multisport Service Organizations, other national not-for-profit organizations, Pakistan Sport Centres and provincial governments.

At the Flags of Rights event, we had the opportunity to interview Mr. Shafiq ur Rehman, President of Milestone, who shared his valuable thoughts on inclusion, equal rights, accessibility, and the meaningful participation of persons with disabilities in society.

His message highlights the importance of creating a society where everyone has equal opportunities and their rights are respected.

Raising a large Pakistani flag at the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad, by Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), symbolizing their equal participation in society and raising awareness about inclusion and their rights.

This event was organized by the Pakistan Sports Council for Persons with Disabilities, with the support of the Pakistan Sports Board, Ventured Knowmads, Forest Town, Milestone, Saaya Association, Niaz Support, Ch. Imran Ilyas; MPA, and Syeda Mehreen Sajid; Coordinator to the Prime Minister.

We are grateful to all the organizations, partners, and individuals who supported this meaningful initiative and helped promote inclusion, equality, and the active participation of persons with disabilities in society.
