VSO Pakistan, in partnership with Bargad, is recruiting two community volunteers in Islamabad. Applications close 26 July 2026.
Community Volunteer — Programme Support (1 position, ACTIVE Project, duration until December 2026, stipend provided)
Terms of Reference:
Support planning and ex*****on of project activities, including trainings, workshops and community outreach.
Assist in mobilising community members and stakeholders for participation in project activities.
Ensure smooth on-ground implementation of interventions.
Liaise with partners, community leaders, local organisations and beneficiaries.
Facilitate communication between the project team and community stakeholders.
Support youth mobilisation, engaging young people in project activities and encouraging their participation.
Assist in data collection, surveys and field assessments; track progress against planned targets.
Maintain records of activities, attendance and outputs; document case studies and lessons learned; assist in preparing reports.
Provide logistical support during events and field activities.
Required: minimum intermediate education, bachelor's degree in development studies, social sciences or related field preferred; interest in community development, climate resilience or social impact programmes; strong communication and coordination skills; basic knowledge of data collection and reporting methods; willingness to travel and work in field settings.
Community Volunteer — Media & Communications (1 position, 7 months, stipend provided)
Terms of Reference:
Manage social media and online campaigns and promotions.
Liaise with universities, youth networks and community groups to mobilise volunteers for media engagements.
Design and lead social media campaigns and post design for the organisation.
Manage campaign-related content, including volunteer stories, event coverage and community action updates.
Collect, compile and submit data, photos and impact stories from activities.
Prepare weekly activity updates and monthly reports; submit a final assignment report summarising engagement, outputs and lessons learned.
Required: demonstrated interest in volunteerism, youth engagement or community development; strong written and verbal communication in English and Urdu; experience in social media content creation and management; ability to coordinate events and mobilise participants; proactive and organised, able to work independently and in a team.
