About HL7 Pakistan
HL7 Pakistan is an approved affiliate organization to Health Level Seven International (HL7). Founded in October 2010, HL7 Pakistan is an open, not-for-profit organization which supports communication and correspondence nationally on HL7 related issues. Being a membership based voluntary organization HL7 Pakistan membership is open to interested parties like vendors, providers,
pharmaceutical and payers from Pakistani healthcare community. HL7 Pakistan abides by HL7 International affiliate agreement and provides a platform to discuss national adaptation and implementation guidelines of the standard to meet the need of local market. HL7 Pakistan also supports e-health reform in Pakistan via effective use of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) with HL7 standards and is envisioned to promote applied research, advocating e-health culture in the country. Founded in 1987, Health Level Seven International (HL7) is a not-for-profit, ANSI-accredited standards developing organization dedicated to providing a comprehensive framework and related standards for the exchange, integration, sharing, and retrieval of electronic health information that supports clinical practice and the management, delivery and evaluation of health services. HL7's 2,300+ members include approximately 500 corporate members who represent more than 90% of the information systems vendors serving healthcare.
