Youth Development Association (YDA) is a not-for-profit, voluntary organization, registered with the government of Pakistan under the “Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies Registration & control Ordinance 1961” It was registered on September 12, 2009. YDA is a development organization working to bring long term change and sustainable development in Pakistani society. Since its inception in 2009, YDA

has mainly focused youth, children, women and elderly people to promote Education, Health, Youth Development, Women Empowerment and Disaster Management. YDA envisions an empowered, dynamic and socially responsible society, so the focus is on the programs to train youth, promote volunteerism and youth empowerment in order to enhance their role in building the society where everyone enjoys their equal rights.

The Catholic Women Organisation organised a session on “Understanding the Christian Family Law: Challenges and Way Forward & Forced Conversion: Challenges and Way Forward” on 5 May 2026 at St John’s Catholic Church, Iqbal Town, Islamabad. YDA was honoured to contribute to this important initiative. The seminar was attended by almost 100 women, men, boys and girls.

Commemorating Earth Day 2026:
YDA Hyderabad team organized a Youth Led Climate Smart Plantation Drive under 'Darakht Lagaye Apny Liye, Apni Naslon K Liye'. The activity aimed at increasing awareness on the need for community based climate change adaptation and youth role in protecting Mother Earth. It was led by Ms Saima and joined by climate advocates, youth and children.
50 Shade trees i.e. Neem, (a fast-growing, thick canopy of shade, heat tolerant, drought resistant, evergreen and air-purifying trees) were planted in a almost deserted park to mitigate environmental pollution, provide dense shade to protect birds and humans from extreme heat and contribute in greener and cleaner environment.
