It has its roots embedded in the passion amongst the youth community in the country that goes unharnessed because of the scarcity of initiatives. This movement has been formed, as a channel for prospective works of welfare. We hope to bring about effective action through the hands of students themselves, and turn ideas into solutions, instead of letting them wither out. In this pattern, everyone i
n Akhuwat-e-Awam, from the board of directors to the teachers, are volunteers themselves. The organization doesn’t have any running costs whatsoever, which gives donations a more seamless than ever transition to those who need them. Our mission is simple, and concrete; to trespass all societal barriers between classes and create a platform where status and wealth are irrelevant in front of something much more important, our responsibility as Pakistani citizens. Akhuwat-e-Awam is a group of people, then, who believe in grabbing the moment. Not debating on who’s right and who’s wrong till our throats run dry. Not considering ourselves above our brothers and sisters. We enjoy the beautiful side of Pakistan; we work on the ugly one, till, in the light of global criticism, we can appear, instead of a fading nation, a revolutionized one, no matter what the circumstances. Here’s a video tour of the organization and what it aims to do:
