As the name implies the mission of the Association is to provide physical strength and mental tranquility to not only the association members but to the society in general. Seeing the miseries and sufferings of common people and especially the women in our society Farhat Awan the founder member of the Association took the initiative to gather those women who can bring about a change. Farhat Awan has accumulated nine years of experience in Canada working with homeless and abused women and children within and outside shelter settings, as a front line counselor/advocate. Thus Body & Soul is a platform for female members of the society to create a sense of awareness in the light of Quran and Sunnah and undertake responsibilities for the betterment of the society.

Continuing our mission of empathy, support, and community care at BAS.
Our September 2026 Ration & Education Sponsorship Distribution was successfully conducted under the leadership of our respected Chairperson, Madam Farhat Awan. She personally supervised the distribution, connected with the beneficiaries, and spent time listening to their everyday struggles and concerns.
For BAS, our work goes beyond delivering rations and supporting education—it is about creating a compassionate space where families feel heard, understood, and supported. Listening to their experiences helps us refine our efforts and serve our community with greater purpose and responsibility.

BAS Dispensaries Update | August 2026

Body & Soul Women’s Association (BAS) continues its commitment to providing accessible healthcare to communities in need through its dispensaries in the Galiyat and surrounding areas.

Our dispensaries continue to serve patients regularly, providing essential medical consultations and medicines to those who may otherwise struggle to afford basic healthcare. These facilities remain an important part of BAS’s ongoing health initiative, bringing much-needed support closer to underserved communities.

We are grateful to our dedicated doctors, medical staff, volunteers and donors whose continued support makes this service possible. May Allah accept these efforts and grant health, ease and blessings to all those involved in this noble cause.

BAS Executive Members’ Meeting | 16 July 2026

The Executive Members of Body & Soul Women’s Association (BAS) held their regular meeting on 16 July 2026, chaired by our respected Chairperson, Madam Farhat Awan. The meeting focused on reviewing ongoing welfare activities, assessing project progress, and planning upcoming initiatives with an emphasis on transparency and accountability.

A structured monitoring system for Education Sponsorship has also been implemented. Students’ report cards will be reviewed after every examination, along with teachers’ feedback, to encourage students and parents to remain committed and strive for their best. Continued poor performance or lack of commitment may lead to discontinuation of the scholarship.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to serving the community with sincerity, compassion, and responsibility.

July 2026 | BAS Dispensaries Update

At BAS, our dispensaries remain an important part of our commitment to making basic healthcare accessible to communities that need it most.

Throughout July, our affiliated dispensaries continued their regular services, providing consultations, essential medicines, and care to patients from surrounding areas. The steady flow of patients reflects how valuable these facilities have become for families who may otherwise face difficulty accessing timely medical assistance.

Beyond numbers and daily routines, every visit represents a person seeking relief, reassurance, or treatment—and every service provided is a small step towards a healthier community.

A special note of appreciation goes to our Chairperson, Madam Farhat Awan, whose vision and commitment brought this initiative to life. Her determination to establish dispensaries in remote and underserved areas reflects her deep concern for communities where access to basic healthcare can be a challenge.

We are grateful to our dedicated medical and support staff for continuing to serve with responsibility and compassion. We also sincerely appreciate Al-Nasar Foundation, Mr. Nazar Mohammad, Mr. Zeeshan Kalim, Mr. Jawad Majid and all our donors and supporters whose contributions make it possible for BAS to keep these healthcare services running.

Sharing a picture of the name plaque placed at our latest Water Bore.

Each of our water bores carries a name plaque so that those who benefit from this source of clean water can remember and pray for the departed souls in whose memory the bore has been installed.

Providing a lasting source of water is one of the most beautiful forms of Sadaqah Jariyah; a continuous charity whose reward, InshaAllah, continues even after one’s passing.

August 2026 — Ration & Education Sponsorship Distribution

Another month of care, support, and shared responsibility at BAS.

Our August 2026 Ration & Education Sponsorship Distribution was carried out under the guidance and leadership of our respected Chairperson, Madam Farhat Awan. She personally oversaw the activity, met with the beneficiaries, and took time to listen to their concerns and difficulties.

These interactions are an important part of our work. For us, support is not simply about distributing ration or fulfilling educational needs; it is also about listening, understanding, and standing beside families during challenging times. Giving people an opportunity to share their problems helps us better understand where assistance is most needed and allows BAS to respond with greater care and responsibility.

We are grateful to all our members and donors whose continued contributions make these efforts possible.

Mansehra Water Bore No. 42 — A Gift That Keeps Giving

Alhamdulillah, another water bore has been successfully completed in Manwali, bringing the total number of BAS water projects to 42.

This bore has been dedicated to the Sawab of the dearly departed of our member, turning their memory into a lasting source of benefit for others. May Allah accept this sadaqah-e-jariyah and grant them the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous. Ameen.

For many families in these areas, access to clean and reliable water is not something to be taken for granted. People often have to walk long distances to collect water, making an already difficult daily life even harder—especially for women, children and the elderly.

A water bore may seem like a simple project, but its impact reaches far beyond the water it provides. It means less time spent searching for water, greater ease for families, improved hygiene, and a safer and more dignified life for the community. Most importantly, it provides a resource that can continue benefiting people for years to come.

At BAS, we believe that every drop of water made accessible is a drop of hope.

BAS Executive Members’ Meeting

Date: 8th July 2026

The BAS Executive Members held their meeting on 8th July 2026 to discuss ongoing projects, organizational matters, and future plans. Our respected chairperson Madam Farhat Awan chaired this meeting. The following key decisions and discussions were recorded:

1. Dispensary & Madrasa Visits
It was decided that visits to the affiliated madrasa and three dispensaries will be scheduled soon. Executive members will visit these facilities to review ongoing activities, assess requirements, and ensure that operations are being carried out effectively.

2. Hassan Academy Visits
Official visits to Hassan Academy will be arranged during July to strengthen communication with the administration and review the progress of its educational programs.

3. School Inauguration
The committee confirmed its participation in the inauguration ceremony of Saira’s International School, scheduled for 8th August. Members will attend to extend their support and further strengthen BAS’s relationship with the institution.

4. Financial Transparency & Accountability
The committee agreed that members should be appropriately informed of organizational expenditures. This will help ensure greater transparency, accountability, and mutual trust within the organization.

5. Meeting Expenses
Members agreed to consider practical and cost-effective alternatives to make meetings more convenient and accessible for everyone.

6. Social Media & Public Outreach
Members presented several constructive ideas to strengthen BAS’s digital presence and public outreach.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening BAS’s ongoing projects through better communication, transparency, accountability, and effective community outreach.

BAS Ration Distribution and Education Sponsorship , July 2026 — Sharing Support, Spreading Hope

Alhamdulillah, another month of BAS Ration Distribution and Education Sponsorship was carried out in July 2026, continuing our commitment to supporting families and helping deserving children pursue their education with dignity and hope.

Although our respected Chairperson, Mam Farhat Awan, was unable to be present due to other office-related responsibilities, this initiative remains very close to her heart. Her continued dedication and commitment to the welfare of these families and children is a driving force behind this work.

We sincerely thank Rukhsana Tariq, Lubna Imran, and Afshan Shahid for carrying out their duties and ensuring that the July distribution was completed smoothly.

Every ration package is more than assistance—it is a reminder to a family that they are remembered and cared for. Every educational sponsorship is an investment in a child’s future.

BAS Madrassa Food Distribution Update – June and July 2026

Madrassa Ashat-ul-Quran, Bara Hottar, Lower Galiat, Abbottabad

Alhamdulillah, with the continued blessings of Allah (SWT) and the generous support of our valued donors, BAS continued its daily food distribution program at Madrassa Ashat-ul-Quran throughout the month of June and July 2026.

Every day, more than 200 children and teachers were provided with freshly prepared, nutritious meals, ensuring they received wholesome food in a clean and dignified environment. For many of these children, this meal is an important source of daily nourishment, allowing them to focus on their Islamic education without the burden of hunger.

A special appreciation goes to our respected Chairperson, Ms. Farhat Awan , whose constant supervision, guidance, and unwavering commitment continue to strengthen this project. Through her regular monitoring and attention to detail, significant improvements have been made in both the quality of the meals and the overall dining experience for the children. Her emphasis on serving fresh, nutritious food, maintaining cleanliness, and instilling proper Islamic etiquettes of serving and eating has brought about positive changes with every passing day. Under her leadership, the children are not only receiving wholesome meals but are also learning values of gratitude, discipline, hygiene, and respect, making this initiative a source of nourishment for both the body and the soul.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our donors and supporters whose generosity makes this project possible. Your contributions are bringing comfort, hope, and countless smiles to these young students every single day.
