as accumulated nine years of experience in Canada working with homeless and abused women and children within and outside shelter settings, as a front line counselor/advocate. Thus Body & Soul is a platform for female members of the society to create a sense of awareness in the light of Quran and Sunnah and undertake responsibilities for the betterment of the society.

BAS September 2025 – Ration & Education Sponsorship Distribution
Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah Almighty and the continued support of our kind donors, BAS successfully completed the September 2025 Ration and Education Sponsorship Distribution across our registered families and students.
Essential ration package was given to deserving households, helping them meet their monthly food needs with dignity. Alongside this, educational sponsorships were provided to several children, ensuring their uninterrupted schooling and access to a brighter future.
The following are also receiving BAS's monthly welfare support :
Monthly food supplies for the Madrasa, Abbottabad
Medicines for both BAS Dispensaries — Al-Shafi Welfare Dispensary (VC Bagan, UC Nathiagali) and Tathial Nagri Dispensary (Bala VC-2)
Payment of student Furqan’s school fee in Abbottabad
Our Chairperson, Madam Farhat Awan, and the dedicated BAS team continue to personally monitor these initiatives to ensure fair distribution, transparency, and accountability at every stage.
Every act of generosity brings hope to a family and an opportunity to a child.

Support for Abdul Ghani – A Step Towards Recovery

At Body & Soul Association, we believe that every child deserves a fair chance at life, learning and hope no matter the hurdles they face.
Eight-year-old Abdul Ghani is a student of Hassan Academy Special Education, where BAS is already sponsoring three bright students: Muhammad Maaz, Zain-ul-Abadeen, and Fizza Emaan. BAS has also sponsored two children previously who are now living their happy adult lives. Abdul Ghani was diagnosed with kidney disease and was in urgent need of an emergency medical procedure.
Alhamdulillah, BAS was able to step in and assist with his medical expenses. The operation was carried out successfully and Abdul Ghani is now on the road to recovery.

His courage reminds us that true strength lies in resilience. With his health improving, he can now continue his education and work towards achieving his goals, just like any other child with big dreams.

We extend our heartfelt prayers for Abdul Ghani’s complete recovery and success, and we remain committed to supporting children like him, ensuring that no obstacle, whether medical or educational, stands in their way.

May Allah grant him shifa, bless his journey ahead, and reward all those who contribute to such causes. Ameen.

General Meeting – September 2025

The monthly general meeting of Body and Soul Association was convened on 24 September 2025 and was presided over by our respected Chairperson, Madam Farhat Awan. A commendable number of members attended, and the session began with routine proceedings.

• Routine Matters:
Collection of monthly funds and committee work were completed smoothly.
• Member Engagement:
Madam Farhat encouraged members to take a more active role in day-to-day office tasks and highlighted the need to involve younger members to plan and manage upcoming group activities.
• Upcoming Events:
Plans for the Milad and other activities were discussed, with emphasis on maintaining simplicity and avoiding unnecessary expenditure on food.
• Community Support:
Annie Hassan of Hassan Academy of Special Education expressed heartfelt thanks to BAS and the Chairperson for supporting a special kidney patient( a child named Abdul Ghani--8yrs) whose surgery was successfully completed—Alhamdulillah.
• Global Concerns:
The current flood situation and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza were reviewed, with ideas shared on how BAS can extend assistance.
• Committee Participation:
Names of members interested in joining the new committee were noted.
• Moments of Joy:
Member Cyma Asif recited songs, and Beena Munawwar shared cherished memories, adding warmth to the gathering.
• Travel Interest:
Some members expressed a wish to visit Turkey in November. Madam Farhat welcomed their enthusiasm while clarifying that such visits would be undertaken on their own responsibility.
• Core Mission:
The Chairperson reiterated BAS’s guiding principle—to help others, value simple joys, and remain focused on the Association’s objectives rather than lavish arrangements.

The meeting concluded with heartfelt appreciation to all members and generous donors whose continued support enables BAS to serve the community.

BAS Water Bore & Pump Installation Project

Alhamdulillah, BAS continues its mission to uplift underserved communities by providing one of the most essential needs of life; clean and accessible water.

A lot of the credit goes to our honourable Chairperson, Madam Farhat Awan, who personally takes the time to shortlist suitable locations, find trustworthy people to carry out the work, and ensure that every single penny is properly accounted for. Her dedication and transparency are the reason these projects are carried out with such success and trust.

In various remote villages, BAS is carrying out water boring and installing hand pumps with connected piping systems to deliver water right to the heart of the community. So far, BAS has helped with almost 40 water bores and handpumps, drastically reducing the hardship of traveling long distances just to fetch water. The supplied water is being used for drinking, cooking, cleaning, and daily household needs; a blessing that has brought true relief to many families.

What makes this effort even more meaningful is that many of these water projects are carried out in the blessed memory of the departed loved ones of our kind donors. It is a continuous charity ( Sadaqah Jariyah ) that benefits people daily and carries reward into the Hereafter.
May Allah accept these efforts and grant the highest ranks in Jannah to those in whose names these wells and pumps have been donated. Ameen.

BAS August' 2025 Ration and education sponsorships Distribution

Alhamdulillah, our August ration drive was carried out with great warmth and gratitude by our honourable Chairperson Madam Farhat Awan and respected members .
As always this month’s effort included not only essential food supplies and fresh meat but also the distribution of education sponsorships, extending BAS’s support to families in multiple ways.
Madam Farhat Awan shared a heartfelt, one-on-one conversation with recipients, listening to their concerns and encouraging them with her kind words. These personal connections continue to strengthen the bond between BAS and the community, offering not just assistance but hope and companionship.
May these efforts bring blessings to all who give and receive. We thank all donors for their continued support and encouragement.

BAS Monthly General Meeting – August 2025

Alhamdulillah, the General Meeting for August 2025 was held with great participation and meaningful discussions.
Our Chairperson, Madam Farhat Awan, led the session with her valuable insights and guidance, keeping our welfare mission strong in education, healthcare, ration support, and community development.
The meeting began with Tilawat and Allama Iqbal (dua),bringing reflection and unity to our cause.
Key points of the meeting:
• All projects are running smoothly.
• Waqas (Bahria Town Employee) requested help as his home was affected by recent floods.
• Our honourable donor Zeeshan Kalim sent funds and Madam Farhat directed Waqas to use them for home repairs.
• Food program at Abbottabad Madrasah going well; more funds sent for crockery for students.
• Madam Farhat asked members about changing the format for the next committee starting December 2025.
• Decision to include more general members in monthly gatherings.
• Plans discussed for healthy recreational activities for members (plantation, movie, mushaira, games, melad, picnic etc).
• Previous committee rules will continue for the future.
• BAS serves in many ways and does not limit itself to one project only.

Update: Roof Completed for Waqas’ Family
Alhamdulillah, as can be seen in the video, the roof construction for Waqas’ house; which was badly damaged in the recent rains, has now been completed, and the family is ready to shift back into their home.
Losing one’s roof can be one of the most stressful and difficult trials a family faces, and having it restored brings not just shelter but also peace, security, and hope for the future.
We once again extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous donors whose support made this possible.
May Allah reward you abundantly, accept this effort as sadaqah jariyah, and bless you and your families with endless barakah.

Room Cooler Donation – July 2025

Alhamdulillah, in July 2025, our honourable member Mrs. Najma Sohail generously donated a room cooler to our printing staff member.
We sincerely thank Mrs. Najma Sohail for her thoughtful contribution. This cooler will not only bring much-needed relief from the summer heat but will also help his family stay comfortable during the intense warm weather, making their home environment healthier and more pleasant.
