Shifa Foundation has been registered as a not-for-profit charitable organization since 1991 in Islamabad, Pakistan. The latest statistics show more alarming findings with regard to the measurable increase in the number of people falling below the poverty line in the recent years. Shifa Foundation in its endeavor to extend a helping hand to our such brethren in need of primary and secondary health

care started a Shifa Foundation Medical Center since February 2001. To elevate the capacity building, the Shifa Center of Professional Excellence (SCOPE) aims at cultivating professional competence and performance by delivering skills and knowledge to learners. The principal objective is to learn, grow and transform through quality education and training.

Shifa Foundation, in collaboration with 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐡 𝐄𝐎𝐂 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐅, continues its efforts to support the polio booster campaign for street children and underserved communities across Karachi. 💚

Through this initiative, our teams are helping reach children who may miss routine vaccination due to difficult circumstances, frequent movement, or limited access to healthcare.

At LillyBridge, South District, children received their booster doses and happily participated in awareness pictures, reflecting the power of community engagement. ✨

The campaign is being carried out across all 7 districts of Karachi to help protect every eligible child and support the mission to stop poliovirus transmission. In the first 8 days, Shifa Foundation has successfully administered booster doses to 9,000 children.

Every dose brings us closer to a healthier and polio-free future. 💉💚

مجھے پانچ سال کی عمر میں پتا چلا کہ میں اس مرض کا شکار ہو گیا ہوں۔ پولیو کی وجہ سے مجھے اپنی زندگی میں بہت زیادہ مشکلات کا سامنا کرنا پڑا۔ میں نے اپنی زندگی میں جو کچھ فیس کیا ہے، میں نہیں چاہتا کہ آگے جا کر کسی اور کو یہ سب برداشت کرنا پڑے۔

اسی لیے میں سب کو یہی ریکمینڈ کروں گا کہ اپنے بچوں کو پولیو کے مرض سے بچانے کے لیے بوسٹر ڈوز, لگوائیں پولیو کے قطرے ضرور پلوائیں، اور جو ٹیم آپ کے پاس آ رہی ہے ان کے ساتھ بھرپور طریقے سے تعاون کریں۔،

عمر کے لحاظ سے پیدائش سے لے کر پانچ سال تک کے بچے ابھی بھی سب سے زیادہ خطرے میں ہیں۔ اسی وجہ سے ہم ان بچوں میں پولیو مہم بار بار جاری رکھیں گے، جب تک پولیو کا وائرس مکمل طور پر ختم نہیں ہو جاتا۔

لیکن حالیہ تحقیق اور پچھلے کچھ سالوں کے کیسز سے یہ بات سامنے آئی ہے کہ بڑی عمر کے بچے، یعنی پانچ سال سے زائد عمر کے بچے بھی اس پولیو وائرس سے متاثر ہو رہے ہیں۔

اسی وجہ سے پولیو ویکسین کی یہ بوسٹر ڈوز مہم بہت زیادہ اہمیت کی حامل ہے۔

اللہ تعالیٰ کی بے شمار نعمتوں میں سے صحت ایک عظیم نعمت ہے، جس کی حفاظت اور قدر دانی کا ہمیں دینِ اسلام میں بارہا حکم دیا گیا ہے۔ قرآنِ پاک اور احادیثِ مبارکہ میں انسانی جان اور صحت کی حفاظت کو بڑی اہمیت دی گئی ہے۔

اسی سلسلے میں مئی کے مہینے میں بچوں کو پولیو کی بوسٹر ڈوز لگائی جا رہی ہیں۔ تمام والدین سے گزارش ہے کہ اپنے بچوں کو خطرناک بیماریوں سے محفوظ رکھنے کے لیے اپنی روٹین کے طابق انہیں قریبی ویکسینیشن سینٹر یا آؤٹ ریچ کیمپ ضرور لے کر آئیں اور حفاظتی ٹیکے لگوائیں۔

یہ چھوٹا سا قدم، ان شاء اللہ، آپ کے بچوں کی بہتر صحت، حفاظت اور روشن مستقبل کا ذریعہ بنے گا۔

آئیے مل کر ایک صحت مند اور پولیو فری پاکستان کے لیے اپنا کردار ادا کریں۔

پولیو ایک خطرناک بیماری ہے جو بچے کو زندگی بھر کے لیے معذور کر سکتی ہے، لیکن اچھی خبر یہ ہے کہ اس سے مکمل بچاؤ ممکن ہے۔

اسی مقصد کے تحت یونیسف اور شفا فاؤنڈیشن کراچی کے مختلف علاقوں میں موبائل ہیلتھ کیمپس کے ذریعے بچوں کو پولیو کی بوسٹر ڈوز فراہم کر رہے ہیں۔

تمام والدین سے گزارش ہے کہ اگر آپ کے بچوں نے پہلے پولیو کے قطرے یا ویکسین لگوائی ہے، تب بھی انہیں پولیو کی بوسٹر ڈوز ضرور دلوائیں تاکہ ان کی قوتِ مدافعت مزید مضبوط ہو اور وہ اس خطرناک بیماری سے محفوظ رہ سکیں۔

اپنے گھر کے قریب موجود ویکسینیشن پوائنٹ یا آؤٹ ریچ سینٹر پر جائیں اور 10 سال تک کی عمر کے تمام بچوں کو پولیو کی بوسٹر ڈوز لازمی دلوائیں۔

آئیے، مل کر ایک صحت مند اور پولیو فری پاکستان کی جانب قدم بڑھائیں، کیونکہ آپ کا ایک قدم کسی بچے کو عمر بھر کی معذوری سے بچا سکتا ہے۔
