A promotional event for the fifth volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China was held on July 15 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Participants called the fifth volume an authoritative work that comprehensively and systematically reflects the latest achievements of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and helps the international community deepen its understanding of China’s development philosophy, experience, and prospect.
At present, China has embarked on a new journey under its 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), while Kazakhstan is steadily advancing toward its vision to build a “Just Kazakhstan.” Noting that China and Kazakhstan are forging ahead side by side on the path to modernization, the participants agreed that the two countries would deliver tangible benefits to their peoples and inject fresh, robust momentum into the pursuit of a shared future in the spirit of eternal friendship, profound mutual trust, solidarity, development and prosperity.
During the event, Chinese representatives presented Kazakh guests with the copies of the Russian edition of the fifth volume and the Kazakh edition of the fourth volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China.
Participating experts and scholars exchanged views on topics including development opportunities under the 15th Five-Year Plan, high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and building a China-Central Asia community with a shared future. Focusing on the event’s theme, representatives from Chinese and Kazakh think tanks, enterprises, and universities shared their understanding of President Xi Jinping’s governance philosophy, people-centered sentiments, and global vision, drawing on personal experience and well-documented cases that showed bilateral cooperation has benefited the Kazakh people.

Chairman of BRISD Signs Condolence Book at the Embassy of the State of Qatar

Islamabad, July 16, 2026: Engr. Qaiser Nawab, Chairman of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD), visited the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Islamabad to sign the condolence book opened following the passing of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, former Prime Minister of the State of Qatar.

On behalf of BRISD, Mr. Nawab conveyed his heartfelt condolences to His Highness the Amir, the Government, and the people of the State of Qatar, expressing solidarity with the bereaved family and praying for the eternal peace of the late leader. He also paid tribute to the late Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani’s distinguished service and enduring contributions to the development and prosperity of the State of Qatar.

Mr. Qaiser Nawab was received by a diplomat of the Embassy of the State of Qatar, who welcomed him and received the message of condolence on behalf of the Embassy.

BRISD extends its deepest sympathies to the leadership and people of Qatar during this period of national mourning and reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the longstanding bonds of friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect between Pakistan and the State of Qatar.

Qaiser Nawab, Chairman of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD), participated in the Africa Day 2026 Reception hosted by the Group of African Ambassadors and Heads of Mission accredited to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The prestigious reception, Serena Hotel Islamabad, brought together diplomats, government officials, development practitioners, business leaders, and members of civil society to celebrate the rich heritage, diversity, and growing global contributions of African nations.

During the event, Qaiser Nawab engaged with several distinguished ambassadors and diplomats, discussing opportunities for enhanced cooperation in the fields of sustainable development, youth empowerment, climate action, education, trade, and people-to-people connectivity between Pakistan and African countries.

He commended the African diplomatic community for its efforts in strengthening Pakistan–Africa relations and reaffirmed BRISD’s commitment to fostering international partnerships that contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and shared prosperity.
