đź”´ La Rete AOI condanna gli attacchi alla Global Sumud Flotilla

In questi giorni le imbarcazioni della Global Sumud Flotilla sono state colpite da droni e sorvolate da aerei israeliani in acque internazionali. Un attacco grave nei confronti di attivisti, deputati, cittadine e cittadini che portano aiuti umanitari forzando l’embargo di Israele e denunciando il genocidio in atto a Gaza invasa dalle forze militari israeliane, nel nome della pace e della dignità per le persone civili . La Rete AOI condanna gli attacchi militari alla Sumud, definita dal Ministero degli Esteri israeliano in una nota sostenitrice di Hamas e del terrorismo, quindi un nemico.

Il successo dello sciopero di lunedì scorso dimostra che forte è il dissenso dalla complicità dell’Italia nel silenzio di fronte al genocidio e l’ennesima rinuncia a sostenere il diritto ad una terra e uno Stato per i palestinesi. Dichiarazioni e lettere a firma collettiva in questi giorni chiedono alle nostre istituzioni una svolta e una posizione autorevole in difesa dei principi del diritto internazionale, in primo luogo dei diritti umani. AOI, CINI e Link2007 nei giorni scorsi, a nome delle proprie associate, si sono nuovamente rivolte al Governo italiano per chiedere un impegno concreto e deciso per il cessate il fuoco e la tutela delle vite umane nella Striscia di Gaza.

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT - Assistant To Head of Programs

Terms of Reference
Title: Assistant to the Head of Programs
Location: Islamabad, with frequent field trips (mainly towards Punjab and KP)
Reporting to: Head of Programs
Period: October 1, 2025 - September 30, 2026 (with possible extension until August 2028)

Summary
The Head of Program Assistant supports programmatic coordination, communication, and documentation tasks. S/he ensures timely information flow between the Head of Programs, field teams, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in drafting project documents, reports, and correspondence
Liaise with field teams and Regional Project Manager in Punjab and KP to collect updates, data, and documentation
Leads and coordinates communication campaigns on ISCOS projects in Pakistan
Support monitoring and follow-up of project timelines and deliverables
Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
Facilitate scheduling and logistics for program meetings and visits
Participate in internal and donor meetings, take minutes, and prepare summaries
Assist in designing activities and communication contents ensuring cultural relevance and sensitivity to the context

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in development studies, social sciences, philosophy, economics, or related field
At least 2 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in international cooperation or NGO sector.
Experience in program support or coordination roles in the development field
Fluency in Urdu and English
Fluency in Punjabi, Hindko and/or Pashtu is a plus
Familiarity with Trade Unions and labour rights related issues is a plus
Experience with international donors or knowledge of the related procedure is a very strong asset.

Skills and Competencies
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficient in MS Office Suite
General IT Proficiency
Knowledge of PCM and basics of M&E.
Proficiency in Urdu and English Language.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Commitment to ISCOS values, including transparency and accountability.
First-hand experience and/or theoretical knowledge of the broad social contexts of Punjab and/or KP is a plus.
Critical understanding of the international developmental sector in Pakistan.

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT - Local Project Coordinator - Lahore

Terms of Reference
Position: Local Coordinator - Lahore
Location: Lahore, Pakistan
Period: from October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026 (with possible extension until August 2028)
Main Responsibilities
The Local Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and administration of ISCOS activities in Lahore. Key duties include:
Field Coordination
Coordinate and oversee the implementation of activities (training, workshops, events, awareness campaigns, research, etc.) in Lahore.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration with local stakeholders, partners, trainers, and beneficiaries.
Supervise and support ISCOS field staff and consultants working in Lahore.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of the socio-cultural context of Punjab to inform ISCOS strategies.
Monitor activity progress against work plans and report any risks, delays, or challenges.
Maintain a punctual record of financial and non-financial assets of ISCOS in Lahore.
Coordinate ISCOS Lahore Office, under the guidance of the Punjab Regional Coordinator.
Constantly report on the status of activities to the Punjab Regional Coordinator.
Assist the Punjab Regional Coordinator in monitoring local activities.
Under the guidance of Punjab Regional Coordinator, conduct coordination meetings with local stakeholders and project local partners.

Financial and Administrative Management
Manage the Lahore office operations, ensuring proper maintenance of facilities, equipment, and resources.
Maintain accurate records of expenditures related to Lahore activities and ensure compliance with ISCOS and donor financial procedures.
Process payments, maintain petty cash, and prepare financial reports in coordination with the Finance Officer in Islamabad.
Ensure timely submission of invoices, receipts, and supporting documents for financial accountability.
Oversee logistics for events, including procurement, contracts with service providers, and travel arrangements.

Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, Philosophy, or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in international cooperation or NGO sector.
Strong skills in financial administration and budget monitoring.
Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and field coordination.
Excellent command of written and spoken English, Urdu, and Punjabi.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Excel, financial reporting tools).
Availability to travel within Punjab or to Islamabad as required.

La Rete AOI sostiene la missione umanitaria non violenta della Global Sumud Flotilla, in coerenza con la priorità associativa di garantire sicurezza e aiuti alla popolazione civile nella Striscia di Gaza e la fine dell’occupazione militare israeliana.

“Vorrei tanto essere su una delle imbarcazioni che dall’Italia partirà il 30 agosto per aggiungersi il 31 a Barcellona alle altre che navigheranno verso Gaza, in rappresentanza delle delegazioni della società civile di 44 paesi. Un’iniziativa non violenta autorevole, niente affatto simbolica: l’obiettivo è rompere l’assedio israeliano della Striscia e portare gli aiuti umanitari. Sicuramente, da parte israeliana ci sarà il blocco e forse ancora una volta i fermi per le persone e le espulsioni. Per questo è indispensabile dare sostegno e voce alla Global Sumud Flotilla: non è “vellitarismo”, non è testimonianza, è presenza attiva e cittadinanza globale, come lo sono state in passato le marce di Time for Peace per la Palestina e in ex Jugoslavia, di recente le due Carovane che hanno raggiunto dal Cairo il valico di Rafah promosse da AOI con altre organizzazioni, le recenti missioni della Freedom Flotilla e di Pax Christi. “ dichiara Silvia Stilli, Presidente della Rete AOI.

La rappresentazione della vita quotidiana nella Striscia è quella delle uccisioni deliberate della popolazione civile e dei giornalisti che mostrano al mondo l’orrore del genocidio, della distruzione anche dei presidi sanitari rimasti, delle morti per denutrizione e malattie. Negli ultimi giorni stiamo assistendo all’avanzata delle forze militari israeliane alle porte di Gaza City e ieri all’ordine di evacuazione dei centri di rifugio del complesso greco-ortodosso di San Porfirio e quello latino della Sacra Famiglia.
“Le dichiarazioni di persone della cultura e dello spettacolo contro l’invasione di Gaza e il genocidio, le richieste della società civile dell’apertura dei valichi e dell’entrata degli aiuti distribuiti sotto il controllo delle Nazioni Unite e le iniziative e interrogazioni parlamentari hanno l’obiettivo di pretendere una posizione ferma di condanna dal nostro Governo e il riconoscimento del diritto per il popolo palestinese ad uno Stato. La Rete AOI continuerà a rafforzarle, auspicando maggiore convinzione di tutti e unitarietà. Role Summary
The Project Coordinator implements ISCOS projects in Punjab (mainly in Lahore, Faisalabad, and Sargodha), ensuring alignment with project goals, donor compliance, and coordination with partners, local authorities, and relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities in Punjab
- Supervise and support local coordinators and other field staff
- Manage project budgets and ensure financial accountability
- Ensure timely and quality reporting to the Head of Programs and donors
- Represent ISCOS in coordination meetings at district and provincial levels
- Identify challenges, risks, and mitigation strategies during project ex*****on
- Provide original contributions to project interpretation in Punjab, through community-driven decolonial approaches

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in development studies, social sciences, philosophy, economics, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience with INGOs or local NGOs
- Proven experience with international donors and related procedures (preferably AICS or EU)
- Experience in managing multi-stakeholder projects in complex and sensitive contexts
- Strong leadership, reporting, and negotiation skills
- Fluency in English, Urdu, and Punjabi
- Critical understanding of PCM and M&E
- Familiarity with Trade Unions and labour rights is a plus
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and other project management tools
- Capacity to understand project documents and translate them into effective implementation
- Critical understanding of the international development sector in Pakistan
