Yesterday, P*P team visited the offices of the Divisional Director Social Welfare, Joint Registrar SECP, Additional Commissioner, and Commissioner FBR in Faisalabad to advocate for a more enabling regulatory environment for nonprofit organizations.

The meetings focused on strengthening collaboration with key government institutions, promoting ease of compliance, and supporting a vibrant philanthropic and nonprofit sector that can contribute more effectively to Pakistan’s social development.

Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (P*P) was featured on On My Radar with Kamran Khan, ARY News’ prime-time current affairs show, where the World Giving Report 2026 was discussed in detail. P*P is proud to serve as the country partner of Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) for this annual global report since 2022.

During the program, Ms. Shazia Amjad, Executive Director P*P, shared key insights from the report and highlighted its significance for Pakistan. She also underscored the vital role of Pakistan’s nonprofit sector in serving as a social safety net for underserved communities across areas such as education, health, disaster response, climate action, and food security.

Ms. Amjad further spoke about P*P’s NPO Certification Program and its role in promoting excellence, transparency, and accountability in the nonprofit sector -helping build public trust and enabling Pakistanis to support certified organizations with greater confidence.

She further highlighted P*P’s upcoming landmark national study, Pakistan – A Giving Society, which aims to comprehensively document the scale and nature of giving in Pakistan. The study is expected to reveal philanthropy in Pakistan running into trillions of rupees and is scheduled to be launched later this year.

P*P held an orientation session last week with officers from the FBR Hyderabad Tax Office, aimed at strengthening coordination and fostering a better understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape for the nonprofit sector. The session provided an opportunity for constructive dialogue and collaboration in support of a more enabling environment for NPOs in Pakistan.
