Pakistan’s operations are legitimate acts of self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter against imminent threats from terrorist sanctuaries in Afghanistan.

These are targeted actions against TTP and other militants, not indiscriminate massacres. While Pakistan deeply regrets any civilian casualties and strictly adheres to International Humanitarian Law (IHL), the primary responsibility for civilian harm lies with terrorists who embed among populations, and the Taliban’s failure to dismantle these sanctuaries despite repeated Pakistani diplomatic efforts.

Fact Check on India’s Allegations

India talks about trade, transit, and “terrorism” against Pakistan but let’s be clear: these are baseless claims used to distract from its own record.

While lecturing the world on international law and human rights, India continues:

The occupation of Jammu & Kashmir, a dispute that remains on the UN Security Council agenda.

Decades of alleged human rights violations, including enforced disappearances, pellet-gun injuries, and attempts at demographic change.

Suppressing dissent from Kashmir to Manipur, where concerns over civil liberties and the treatment of protesters have drawn international attention.

Relying on accusations and information warfare while ignoring questions about its own policies and conduct in the region.

Pakistan remains committed to diplomacy, dialogue, regional stability, and peaceful coexistence. However, when its people or sovereignty are threatened, it reserves the right to respond proportionately in accordance with international law.

✌️ Peace, dialogue, and justice that’s Pakistan’s way.

On “Blaming Neighbours” and Misleading the World
Pakistan does not blame neighbours for its failures; it highlights a well-documented reality backed by UN reports.

The UNSC Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team Report (8 Dec 2025) confirms that Afghanistan has become a hub for multiple terrorist networks (TTP, ISIL-K, AQIS, ETIM/TIP) that plan and execute attacks beyond its borders.

TTP remains one of the largest groups operating from Afghan soil, responsible for high-profile attacks against Pakistan, with growing cooperation with Al-Qaeda-aligned groups.

In 2025 alone, Pakistan faced over 5,300 terrorist incidents and lost more than 1,200 lives to terrorism emanating from Afghanistan.

Specific attacks, such as the 9 May 2025 VBIED on a police post in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (15 police martyred), were planned from Afghan territory. Pakistan has seized advanced weapons (including drones) in over 290 cases, many traced to arms left behind by foreign forces.

The real destabilizer is the India-Taliban nexus. India has opportunistically moved to use Afghan soil and Taliban elements as proxies to wage hybrid warfare against Pakistan. This nexus provides financial, logistical, and intelligence support to anti-Pakistan groups, enabling cross-border terrorism while India poses as a development partner. This is consistent with India’s long-standing policy of proxy warfare.

📢 Statement on Recent Claims Regarding Alleged Strike in Kabul

Recent media reports have circulated allegations from the Afghan Taliban claiming that Pakistan targeted a hospital in Kabul. These claims have been firmly denied by Islamabad, which maintains that the operation was directed exclusively at terrorist-linked infrastructure.

According to Pakistan’s position, the strikes targeted drone storage facilities, technical support infrastructure, and ammunition depots associated with hostile activity against Pakistan. Officials have emphasized that the operation was precise, deliberate, and professionally executed, with no civilian or medical facility targeted.

Responding to the Afghan diplomat, Pakistan reiterated that:

“As part of established practice, video footage of all six strikes was released shortly after the operation, clearly showing the nature of the targets.”

Islamabad further stated that all claims suggesting damage to a hospital or civilian infrastructure are not supported by evidence and are being portrayed as propaganda.

The issue highlights the continued sensitivity of cross-border security dynamics and the importance of verified information in conflict reporting.
