The Blood Donors Society at IIUI is a student-driven initiative committed to saving lives by ensuring the availability of blood donations during emergencies and routine medical needs. We promote awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and foster a culture of compassion and responsibility within our community.

☑️𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀: Educate the community about the importance of blood donation.
☑️𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲: Maintain a network of voluntary student donors for quick access.
☑️𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: Bridge the gap between patients and reliable donors.

Blood donations save lives, yet many face delays in receiving blood. We aim to close this gap by building a community of lifesaving donors.

☑️ 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Facilitated hundreds of successful blood donations.
☑️ 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵: Built a network of 500+ donors.
☑️ 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀: Reached thousands through educational efforts.

On 8 May 2026, on the occasion of International Thalassemia Day, Blood Donor Society-IIUI, in collaboration with The Blood Heroes, proudly conducted a successful webinar dedicated to raising awareness about Thalassemia.

The session aimed to highlight the challenges faced by Thalassemia patients and emphasize the importance of regular blood donation as a life-saving act of compassion and responsibility.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all speakers, participants, and supporters who contributed to making this initiative impactful. The Blood Donor Society of IIUI in collaboration with The Blood Heroes successfully conducted an interactive awareness campaign at the International Islamic University Islamabad. The campaign was organized to promote the upcoming webinar focused on raising awareness about Thalassemia and its impact on individuals and families.

On this International Thalassemia Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to supporting patients and their families through knowledge, compassion, and action. Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder that requires lifelong care and regular blood transfusions. Public awareness, early diagnosis, and voluntary blood donation play a vital role in improving the quality of life for those affected.
