On 14th August, DJ YDC Islamabad celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day with great enthusiasm, patriotism, and a strong sense of unity. The celebration brought together the boarders in a joyful and meaningful gathering where everyone participated with pride and excitement.
The event featured national songs and various engaging activities that brought the boarders together in a spirit of patriotism, joy, and unity. The boarders enthusiastically participated in the celebrations, making the occasion memorable and meaningful.
The celebration created a warm and memorable atmosphere at the YDC, reminding everyone that independence is not only a privilege but also a responsibility to contribute positively to our society and build a better Pakistan.

Another inspiring career counseling session on "Building Career Goals" was successfully conducted for the boarders of DJ YDC Islamabad and YDC Rawalpindi, hosted at DJ YDC Islamabad.

The session featured two exceptional guest speakers:

🎀 Dr. Sadia Khalid β€” Trainer, Speaker, and Climate & Peace Activist, who shared valuable insights on self-awareness, purposeful goal-setting, and the importance of resilience in shaping one's career path.

🎀 Mr. Daniyal β€” Youth and Social Media Activist, who engaged the participants with practical guidance on leveraging digital platforms, personal branding, and staying relevant in today's fast-evolving job market.

While cities like Lahore and Karachi run on strong 4G ecosystems, young women in Chitral and other remote districts are still held back by thin infrastructure, unaffordable data, and low digital literacy. For many, the real obstacle isn't talent, it's access.
Our new article looks at how SHAD Foundation's Youth Development Center hostels in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Chitral are closing that gap, combining safe housing with digital literacy training, library access, and career counseling under one roof.
