From "24 April to 30 April 2026", CCommunity Services Program - CSP proudly joins hands with partners, donors, and stakeholders to celebrate "World Immunization Week 2026" a global effort to raise awareness about the life-saving power of vaccines.

💉 "Immunization is one of the most effective ways to protect individuals, families, and communities from preventable diseases". Every vaccine brings us one step closer to a healthier, safer future.

🌍 This week, CSP is actively engaging communities to highlight the importance of "routine immunization" and ensure no one is left behind.

🛡️ Did you know? There are 13 essential routine vaccines recommended to protect people at different stages of life, including:

BCG, OPV, IPV, Pentavalent (DPT-HepB-Hib), PCV, Rotavirus, Measles, Rubella, Hepatitis B, DPT booster, TT, HPV, and more.

Community Services Program (CSP), with the generous support of its donor Kashmir Fund DK, has been implementing health projects in AJ&K since 2015. Under this long-standing partnership, CSP as the implementing partner, has successfully established and operationalized 62 Family Health Care Centers (FHCCs) across five districts of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, significantly improving access to essential healthcare services at the community level.

Building on the exemplary results of these 62 FHCCs, Kashmir Fund DK has decided to expand the initiative to District Poonch.

In this regard, Chairman CSP, Mr. Siddique Hussain, convened a strategic meeting with Dr. Sayyab Afzal Kayani at the District Health Office in Rawalakot. The session was attended by the Assistant Director Health, Community Midwives (CMWs) from District Poonch, and other key stakeholders.

The primary objective of the meeting was to present the KFDK-supported model of CMW workstations and Family Health Care Clinics, aimed at strengthening community-based healthcare delivery and improving access to essential maternal and child health services.
The District Health Officer expressed strong interest in collaborating with CSP and KFDK on the establishment and operationalization of Family Health Care Clinics across Poonch. It was mutually acknowledged that while the model holds significant potential, certain strategic adaptations may be required to align effectively with the district’s health priorities and contextual needs.
CSP remains committed, as an implementing partner, to fostering impactful partnerships that promote equitable, accessible, and sustainable healthcare services at the community level.

Access to clean and safe drinking water remains a critical need in many underserved communities of Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

The Community Services Program - CSP, with the generous support of PennyAppeal, is actively addressing this challenge through the construction of water wells in areas facing acute water scarcity. These initiatives are not only improving access to safe drinking water but also enhancing the health, dignity, and daily lives of countless families.
