The Final Evaluation of RSS&CR Project, funded by Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund and implemented by FACE, was conducted by the Third-Party Monitoring Team from NEC Consultants Pvt Ltd. on 5โ€“6 August 2026 in UC Noorpur Manjhuwala, Jampur, Rajanpur.

The evaluation included:

- Focus Group Discussion with men and women
- Survey of 80 households (40 men & 40 women)
- 4 Key Informant Interviews with Social Welfare, Health, Education, and Agriculture Departments
- Field visits to CPI schemes

The evaluation provided an opportunity to hear directly from communities and stakeholders and to review the progress and outcomes of project interventions.

Following the jury evaluation, the FACE team continued its university engagement at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad on 11 August.

The in-person session brought the team closer to students and researchers to hear their ideas, understand their research, and explore the challenges and opportunities behind their proposals.

The focus remains simple: listen, learn, and explore ideas with the potential to create meaningful impact in agriculture and food security.

On 5th and 6th August at Sona Tower, Islamabad, we had the privilege of hosting the Phase 1 in-person jury consultation for AFSIC 2026.

Sitting with the ORIC Heads from MNS University of Agriculture, UAF, and AUP felt less like a formal meeting and more like a meaningful conversation among people who care deeply about the future of agriculture. We spent hours reviewing innovative ideas โ€” some still early, some already bold โ€” and kept returning to one essential question: Can this truly make a difference on the ground?

Every jury member took time to understand not just the idea, but the young researcher behind it. There was genuine encouragement mixed with honest feedback โ€” the kind that helps someone grow rather than simply get evaluated.

These are the moments that remind us why we started AFSIC. Itโ€™s not only about selecting winners โ€” itโ€™s about creating a space where promising minds feel seen, supported, and challenged to go further.

Weโ€™re grateful for the thoughtful expertise shared over those two days, and excited about the solutions that are beginning to take shape.

On 4 August 2026, FACE, in collaboration with the Agriculture Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Research Wing), hosted a One-Day Multi-Stakeholder Consultation on Olive Value Chains.

The consultation brought together olive growers, processors, value-addition businesses, researchers, development partners, and civil society organizations. Together, they shared experiences, discussed the real challenges on the ground, explored new opportunities, and looked at practical ways to work more closely going forward.

By building stronger partnerships today, we can help create a more resilient olive industry โ€” and better livelihoods for farming communities in the years ahead.

Since 2021, FACE has been advancing climate-smart agriculture through precision drone technology. To date, our drone operations have covered 80,000+ acres, helping farmers reduce costs, save time, and improve efficiency.

On 18 July 2026, one of our skilled drone pilots achieved a remarkable milestone by spraying 290 acres in a single day using one agricultural drone, surpassing the previous record of 250 acres.

FACE, in partnership with the Agriculture Department (Research Wing), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is actively engaged in the propagation and promotion of olive cultivation across the province.

๐๐ก๐š๐ฌ๐ž ๐ˆ, featuring the revival and upgradation of the 170-acre Olive Research Farm at Sangbhatti, Mardan, is progressing successfully.

The facility is now producing high-quality olive saplings for distribution to farmers, and paving the way for the expansion of olive cultivation in the province. It is also improving farmers' access to renowned olive varieties, including Koroneiki and Leccino.

From healthy mother trees to the newly upgraded greenhouse, every cutting is carefully propagated in a controlled environment that provides ideal conditions for strong root development and healthy plant growth.
