INSTITUTIONAL OBJECTIVES:

ACT- as a body that engages with its stakeholders including underprivileged communities through effective and efficient coordination mechanisms. ASSIST- local organizations in resource mobilization so that they can play an effective role in the holistic development of communities in Pakistan. FACILITATE & STRENGTHEN – local organizations by building their capacities for improved output and impact. SERVE- as a channel of communication between those that are isolated from mainstream markets, to bridge the gap for socio-economic development. COORDINATE- emergency relief work with local partner organizations for timely response to help those in need. AWARENESS- for the marginalized communities so that they have adequate information and are able to gain government and non-government support in meeting their needs

Pakistan Partnership Initiative successfully conducted a 3-day training on Holistic Development in collaboration with Redeeming Love Mission from 8th to 10th April 2026 in Toba Tek Singh.
The training brought together 74 participants from Gojra, Kamalia, Sammundri, and Toba Tek Singh, representing various churches and ministries. This diverse participation created a rich learning environment focused on strengthening faith-based community development practices.

The purpose of the training was to build a strong understanding of biblical and theological foundations of holistic ministry, while also emphasizing the practical application of Scripture in addressing the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of individuals and communities. Participants were guided to develop an integrated approach that connects faith with everyday life and service.

The sessions also focused on strengthening personal spiritual growth and equipping participants with practical tools and insights to implement holistic principles effectively within their ministries. This initiative reflects a shared commitment to empowering local leaders and fostering sustainable, faith-driven transformation at the community level.

PPI Partners’ 3-Day Exposure Visit to REEDS Pakistan

Pakistan Partnership Initiative (PPI) successfully conducted a 3-day exposure visit for PPI partners organisations to REEDS Pakistan at Rahim Yar khan to learn about the practical approaches to climate change adaptation CCA with a focus on Regenerative agriculture, community based disaster risk reduction (CBDRR) and Climate Change Adaptation and building community resilience with 30 participants from 12 partner organizations.

Day 1: Orientation on Climate Change Adaptation initiatives by Dr. Benjamin Barkat (REEDS), regenerative agriculture session by Shahid Saleem executive director REEDS, reflection and learning session by Zakia Malik senior Programme manager (REEDS), and creation care session by Liaqat Masih Programme manager (OATH). Participants also visited KFUEIT for interaction with academic staff and the weather station, followed by a visit to the REEDS Agriculture Research Center.

Day 2: Participants explored emergency response systems through visits to Rescue 1122 and a Church-Based CERT. They also engaged in hands-on field learning with communities practicing regenerative agriculture, participated in climate-smart kitchen gardening, conducted CBDRM simulations, and delivered their DRR training sessions.

Day 3: Visits included the REEDS office, along with reflection and exposure visits to Cholistan Desert and Gut Berry Lake.

This immersive journey of learning, collaboration, and real-life experience is empowering partners to adopt practical, climate-resilient solutions and inspire stronger, sustainable communities.

Training Highlights | Gender Mainstreaming in DRR

Pakistan Partnership Initiative (PPI) successfully conducted a two-day training on “Gender Mainstreaming in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)” on 26–27 February 2026 in Lahore, bringing together development practitioners and partner organizations to strengthen gender-responsive programming.

During the training, participants explored key concepts and practical approaches to integrate gender considerations into disaster risk reduction initiatives. Sessions covered:

•⁠ ⁠Understanding gender and the gender context of Pakistan
•⁠ ⁠The concept, principles, and levels of gender mainstreaming
•⁠ ⁠The Gender Mainstreaming Cycle and Gender Integration Framework
•⁠ ⁠Organizational tools to assess gender equality in programs and operations
•⁠ ⁠Practical tools and approaches for applying gender mainstreaming in DRR interventions

Through interactive discussions, group work, and practical exercises, participants enhanced their capacity to design inclusive, equitable, and gender-responsive DRR programs that ensure the needs and voices of women, men, girls, and boys are considered in disaster preparedness and response.

PPI remains committed to strengthening the capacities of local partners to promote gender equality, accountability, and inclusive humanitarian action across Pakistan.
