Yardimeli Pakistan Distributes Educational Grants Worth One Million Rupees to 71 Orphaned Children
Rawalpindi: Yardimeli Pakistan, the local branch of the Turkish humanitarian organization Yardimeli, distributed educational grant cheques among 71 orphaned children as part of its ongoing Educational Support Program. A special ceremony was organized for this purpose, with Chairman Yardimeli Pakistan, Mr. Faheem Anwar Khan, as the chief guest. Distinguished guests included Board of Trustees member Asim Nawaz Abbasi, General Coordinator Hussain, media person Nadeem Mirza, and former Director of International University, Shabbir Mir.
In his address, Chairman Faheem Anwar Khan highlighted that Yardimeli Pakistan is actively implementing several welfare initiatives including the Educational Support Program, clean water projects, microfinance services, and the Qurbani Project — all of which serve as living examples of the strong and enduring friendship between Pakistan and Turkey. He also expressed gratitude to the dedicated team of volunteers, stating that no welfare organization can move forward without the tireless efforts of committed volunteers.
Faheem Anwar further noted that Yardimeli is currently operating in more than 30 countries around the world, serving vulnerable communities through education, healthcare, emergency relief, and development programs.
Board of Trustees member Asim Nawaz Abbasi stated that the Educational Support Program is a long-term initiative of Yardimeli Pakistan, benefiting hundreds of deserving children over the years. He emphasized that the program aims to provide quality education to underprivileged children, foster self-confidence, and empower them to become responsible citizens who can contribute meaningfully to their families and to the nation.
Former Director of International University, Shabbir Mir, praised Yardimeli’s mission, adding that the organization is sincerely working to uplift marginalized communities in Pakistan under the able leadership of Chairman Faheem Anwar Khan.
At the end of the ceremony, educational grants totaling approximately one million rupees were distributed among 71 orphaned children to help them meet their academic expenses.
