The sit-in at Baberloi Bypass, located near the Sindh-Punjab border, has been ongoing for the past ten days. Lawyers and nationalist groups have gathered with a single slogan: "No more canals on Indus River." Over the last two days, tensions have escalated, with police launching baton charges on protestors at Kandhkot and this morning at Gulshan-e-Hadeed.

In response to the situation, more than 3,000 members of the Hur Jamaat, armed with sticks, arrived at Baberloi Bypass. They declared that they had come on the orders of Pir Pagara to take over the security of the sit-in and ensure its protection against any forceful attempts to end it.

The Hur Jamaat members warned that if anyone tried to end the protest or used force again, they would respond firmly. They vowed to maintain security until an official notification addressing their demands is issued.
