🌱 Strengthening Farmer Organizations through Community Participation 🌱
📍 Dadu, Sindh | Daily Field Update
The BASIC DF Dadu team visited different villages and held meetings with village focal persons and community members to discuss the formation of Farmer Organizations (FOs).
During these meetings, the team explained the purpose and importance of Farmer Organizations, the formation process, and their potential role in collective decision-making, sharing agricultural knowledge, and addressing farmers’ common concerns.
The community members responded positively and agreed on the following schedules for the upcoming FO formation meetings:
📅 Upcoming Formation Meetings
📍 Village Sohrab Zardari
📍 Village Allah Dito Khoso
📍 Village Piyaro Junejo
📍 Village Ghulam Muhammad Babar
The BASIC DF team will revisit these villages according to the agreed schedule to facilitate the formation process and support farmers in organizing themselves around their shared agricultural needs and priorities.
Together, we are working towards stronger farmer organizations, better collaboration, and more sustainable rural livelihoods. 🌾

Climate change is increasing the risk of urban flooding across many cities of Sindh. Heavy rainfall can quickly flood streets, homes, and public areas, putting lives and property at risk.
Take simple steps to protect yourself and your family:
• Stay updated with weather alerts.
• Avoid driving or walking through floodwater.
• Keep emergency contacts and a first-aid kit ready.
• Switch off electricity if floodwater enters your home.
• Follow instructions from local authorities.
