PRCS is a humanitarian organization, dedicated to improving lives of vulnerable segments of the society.The core areas of the work, in line with the overall strategy of PRCS, are Disaster Management, Health Care and promotion of Humanitarian Values supported by an ongoing process of Organizational Development.

Pakistan Red Crescent Society was founded on December 20, 1947 by the order ‘The Pakistan Red Cross Order’ courtesy Quaid-e- Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Governor General of Pakistan and Founder President of the Society. PRCS endeavours to strengthen the humanitarian and social values by promoting the ideals of tolerance, non-violence, sympathy, love and respect for others in the society.The Society in its working draws inspiration from the seven fundamental principles of the 'Movement', namely: Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity and Universality.The main activities of the Society are relief work during and after disasters, both natural and man made, and primary health and welfare services for the most vulnerable

General information

The core areas of work, in line with overall strategy of PRCS, are Disaster Management, Health Care and promotion of Humanitarian Values. PRCS has a wide network allover Pakistan, which include over 131 Hospitals, Medical Health Units, Dispensaries and Blood Donation Centers. Every year over 1.5 million people are provided with 100% free health facilities. PRCS is the only national society of Pakistan and has proved itself as a trust worthy platform for humanitarian activities by providing food, shelter, medical care and livelihood to the most vulnerable
