As part of its on-going support to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly (GBA), the Gilgit-Baltistan Policy Institute (GBPI) organized an orientation session for the first time elected members of the Assembly on Legislative processess and the Rules of Procedure. The session was held at a local hotel in Gilgit on July 12, 2026.

Government of GB approved rules of business for Local Government Commission, Local Council Board, Local Government Finance Commission, District Council, Tehsil Council and Union Council. Technical assistance for drafting these rules of business was provided by Gilgit-Baltistan Policy Institute under Citizens Voice Project.
