🌾 C̃HENIR (CHINIR) CELEBRATED IN CHIPURSON, GOJAL HUNZA 🌾

The Wakhi Tajik community of Chipurson Valley, Gojal, Hunza, came together to celebrate C̃henir (Chinir)—a cherished Wakhi harvest festival that marks the beginning of the grain harvest and reflects our deep connection with the land, community, and tradition.

This beautiful celebration brought together elders, women, youth, and children in traditional attire to offer prayers of gratitude for nature’s blessings, seek prosperity for the harvest season, and strengthen the bonds that unite our community.

C̃henir is more than a festival—it is a living expression of Wakhi identity, reminding us of the importance of preserving our language, customs, music, and cultural heritage for future generations.

May the spirit of C̃henir continue to inspire unity, gratitude, and hope.
