It is a remote region with such a difficult terrain that very few outsiders ever visited this area. But with the construction of Karakorum Highway (KKH) in the 1970s the area began to open up. The KKH brought with itself many social and cultural changes
. Among the many things that came with the KKH was the light of education. Students of this area started getting quality education. The area proved to be rich with talent. Students of this region proved their metal in the very best institutes of Pakistan and also internationally. Students of this region are studying right now in institutes of international repute. There are regions within Gilgit-Baltistan that boast of having the highest literacy rate in Pakistan. However, after such a long time and with so many facilities now available, there are still stories of students having amazing potential, not getting a chance to prove themselves. There are still schools and colleges where students do not get proper access to information. Students studying in the remote corners of the region do not have proper access to information for them to get out and prove their talent. A group of students from Gilgit Baltistan studying in different institutes of the country came together to think on this issue and they came up with this idea of an organization to help address this issue. This group of students belonging to different areas of Gilgit-Baltistan studying in different institutes of Pakistan decided to form an organization to help address this issue. Through this organization these students would provide help to younger students of the region to get proper access to education related information and also in any other issues of the students. This organization would use all the tools at its expense to help the youth of Gilgit-Baltistan. It would initiate different projects to help the students of GB. This organization would work to bring about a positive change in our society. Our society is facing a lot of social issues right now. Problems such as intolerance, gender deprivation, lack of political leadership, lack of social interaction; in short we are facing social disintegration. These problems are the roots for all the problems in our society. We believe that the solution to all these problems is education and awareness. This organization aims to change our society from its present form to an educated and socially aware knowledge society. This organization would primarily use education as a tool to bring about this change.
