Aga Khan Rural Support Programme This is not an official page about AKRSP. AKRSP is involved in rural support and community development programs.

It is a non-profit organization with the objective to help alleviate poverty with the vision to improve the quality of life of the local people of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral regions of Northern Pakistan. AKRSP's programs and services are open for all segments of the local society without any discrimination of cast, creed, religion etc. It is not affiliated with any particular political organizat

ion or party. It has a mandate to work with organized communities through participatory approach for the development of the area through social and econimic empowerment of rural masses in its programme area.

𝟏𝟗𝟖𝟕: Mawlana Hazar Imam visits projects of the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme in Teru, Gilgit. The programme was initiated in 1982 to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people of Northern Pakistan.

🌍 Also in 1987, the World's population reached five billion. Meanwhile, the governments of Portugal and China signed an agreement for Macau to be returned to China in 1999.

Leading up to we will be sharing photos from each year of Mawlana Hazar Imam's Imamat.
