Mawlana Hazar Imam visited the Darkhana in Mumbai.

The Darkhana in Mumbai is one of the oldest Jamat Khana buildings in the world. It was established in 1848 and was the first Jamat Khana to be given the status of a “Darkhana.” This status was granted in 1870 by Mawlana Hassan Ali Shah.

The enthronement of Mawlana Sultan Muhammad Shah took place at the Darkhana on 1 September 1885. The throne on which our 48th Imam was seated on that historic day is still preserved there today.

Yesterday evening, Mawlana Hazar Imam met with senior Jamati and AKDN leaders in Mumbai and shared a very powerful message about service and volunteerism.

These blessed words of Mawlana Hazar Imam are not only an appreciation of our volunteers, but also a reminder of the importance and value of sincere service.

❤️ OUR REFLECTION ON VOLUNTEERISM

For every volunteer, these words carry a very special meaning.

Many times, our service happens quietly. We give our evenings, weekends and family time. We leave our work, postpone our personal plans, and stand ready whenever the Jamat needs us.

Sometimes nobody sees these efforts, and sometimes nobody even knows how much time and energy a volunteer has given.

But Mawlana Hazar Imam sees the value of this service.

His words remind us that volunteerism is not simply about completing a task. It is about serving with sincerity, protecting the trust given to us, strengthening our institutions, and improving the quality of life of the Jamat and wider society.

Let us therefore continue our service with humility, unity and dedication, without expecting recognition or reward.

And let us carry one simple promise in our hearts:

1960 ❤️ → 2026 ❤️

From Mawlana Shah Karim Aga Khan IV to our beloved present Hazar Imam Aga Khan V, the mountains of Gilgit witnessed history once again. 🌹

The first Didar in 1960 transformed our homeland from poverty toward education, progress, dignity, and unity. A new hope and vision changed generations forever. ❤️

And now in 2026, the blessed Didar of Aga Khan V has opened another beautiful chapter filled with peace, prosperity, development, and endless blessings for the Jamat. ❤️

The faces changed.
The generations changed.
The time changed.

But one thing never changed...
The unconditional love of the Jamat for their Imam. ❤️

Didar is not only a moment of happiness, it is a source of spiritual strength, hope, unity, and inspiration for generations to come. 🌹

No refreshment counter
No Restrooms
No Roof... only the open sky above.

Extreme cold at night, intense heat during the day, strong winds, wet carpets, tired bodies... yet the Jamat stood there with patience and love only for Mawlana Hazar Imam. ❤️

Some came from far valleys, some walked for hours, some spent sleepless nights just for a single blessed glimpse filled with spiritual peace and happiness.

Faces dry from the weather, lips cracked, simple winter clothes, long waiting hours... but every hardship became small in front of the joy of Didar.

In that crowd, there was no complaint, no comfort, no luxury... only prayers, tears, smiles, and endless love for the Imam of the Time. ❤️

Didar is not just an event for this Jamat.
It is a spiritual journey filled with faith, sacrifice, patience, and unconditional love.

Salute to this beautiful Jamat whose devotion stayed stronger than every weather condition. ❤️
