Food Scientists and Technologists from the National Institute of Food Science & Technology (NIFSAT), University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF), Pakistan, participated in the Fine Food Australia B2B Food Event 2026 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre Last Day.

The participation provided an excellent opportunity to explore the latest developments and innovations across the Australian and international food industry. The NIFSAT-UAF representatives interacted with food processors, food machinery manufacturers, wholesalers, hospitality and food-service equipment suppliers, and packaging companies, gaining valuable insights into emerging technologies, industrial trends, value addition and processing solutions.

Special thanks to dear brother Hafiz Ansar for his valuable support, hospitality, and excellent arrangements throughout the visit. His cooperation greatly contributed to making this professional and learning experience highly productive.

Congratulations To Prof. Dr. Sadaf Javaria:

The PSFST family congratulates Dr. Sadaf Javaria, Professor, Institute of Food Science & Nutrition, Gomal University, on her appointment as Director, Institute of Food Science & Nutrition, for a second three year tenure.

Prof. Dr. Sadaf Javaria previously served as Director from 2018–2022, during which she played a pivotal role in the transformation of the Department of Food Science & Technology into an Institute and the introduction of new degree programmes, laying a strong foundation for the academic expansion of the discipline at Gomal University.

As the first woman Professor in the field of Food Science & Technology in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa her journey represents not only academic achievement but also institution- building, leadership and the advancement of women in higher education and scientific research. She has also remained actively engaged in professional activities at various forums across the country.

Her second tenure marks an opportunity to further strengthen the Institute through research excellence, innovation, industry linkages, entrepreneurship and quality academic programmes.

PSFST extends its heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Dr. Sadaf Javaria and wishes her a highly successful, productive and transformative tenure.
