Statement of Afzal Shah Khamosh, Central Chairman of Pakistan Mazdoor Kisan Party, on Regional Tensions and Imperialist Aggression
Whether it is American or Zionist bombing or a border war, it is the people who carry the dead bodies, and it is imperialism that reaps the benefit.
Afzal Shah Khamosh, Central Chairman of the Pakistan Mazdoor Kisan Party (Pakistan Workers and Peasants Party), has strongly condemned the American and Zionist aggression against Iran and the rising tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan. He stated that this war is neither the war of the worker nor the peasant, neither of the Pakistani people nor the Afghan people. This war belongs to global imperialist powers, arms-manufacturing capitalists, and their local ruling allies who wish to resolve their political and economic crises with the blood of the people.
He said that the attack on Iran is not a defensive action but a continuation of the imperialist policy of regime change. The Zionist genocide in Palestine and the aggression against Iran are two sides of the same imperialist plan, whose goal is to maintain American dominance by plunging the entire region into the fires of war. The so-called "rules-based international order" is merely another name for capitalist plunder and military domination, a system that the ruling classes of several Muslim countries also participate in protecting.
Afzal Shah Khamosh stated that the recent tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan are not the result of a sudden incident but the logical outcome of decades of imperialist intervention, misguided state policies, and the class-based politics of local ruling elites. For fifty years, this region has been turned into a powder keg, first in the name of "jihad" and then the "war on terror." The poor people of Pashtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Afghanistan have continued to carry the bodies, while the benefit has always gone to capitalist powers, military contractors, and imperialist interests. We ourselves sowed the seeds of extremism, provided state patronage to narratives of hatred, and today those very seeds are burning the entire region like wildfire.
He added that the current atmosphere of war is actually an attempt to divert people's attention from real issues like inflation, unemployment, privatization, land grabbing, and anti-worker policies. When livelihoods are snatched away, factories are closed, and farmers cannot get a fair price for their crops, the ruling class raises the clamor of nationalism and war to suppress class questions. War always deepens poverty and fills the coffers of the capitalists.
The Central Chairman raised the question: Do the working people of Afghanistan make the decisions in Kabul? Are the decisions made in Islamabad and Peshawar according to the will of workers and peasants? The reality is that on both sides, power rests with a few powerful circles, and the price is paid by the poor people on both sides of the border. The decision for war is made in the chambers of power, but the dead bodies are carried from the communities.
He said that the interests of the people on both sides of the border are the same. They do not want war; they want employment, they want education and healthcare, they want peace and a life of dignity. If the name of religion is invoked, it should be remembered that calling the capitalists' war a 'jihad' is an insult to the faith. If the name of Pashtunwali is invoked, its foundation is not gunpowder but the jirga, tolerance, and brotherhood. If 'Afghaniat' is discussed, it does not mean becoming fuel for the war of external powers. And if there is a claim to 'Pakistaniat', it does not mean throwing one's own workers and peasants into the furnace of war.
The Pakistan Mazoor Kisan Party demands:
· An immediate halt to the aggression against Iran.
· An immediate cessation of all types of military actions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
· Resolution of border disputes through political and popular dialogue, not through weapons.
· Provision of immediate relief, employment, and rehabilitation in the affected areas.
· Cancellation of military agreements made with imperialist powers.
· Promotion of class solidarity among the working people of the region.
He appealed to the people not to become part of the narrative of hatred and war hysteria. This fight is not ours. This fight belongs to those who sell corpses for profit. Our struggle is for bread, land, employment, and peace. This is not a time for the politics of the gun; this is a time for the politics of class consciousness. This is a time to reject imperialist war and for the unity of the working people. If we do not learn from history, this region will once again be set ablaze, and imperialism will benefit, while the people will suffer the loss.

امریکی یا صیہونی بمباری ہو یا سرحدی جنگ، لاشیں عوام اٹھا رہی ہے اور فائدہ سامراج کو پہنچ رہا ہے ۔ مرکزی چیئرمین افضل شاہ خاموش پاکستان مزدور کسان پارٹی
پاکستان مزدور کسان پارٹی کے مرکزی چیئرمین افضل شاہ خاموش نے ایران پر امریکی و صیہونی جارحیت اور پاکستان و افغانستان کے درمیان بڑھتی ہوئی کشیدگی پر شدید ردِعمل دیتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ یہ جنگ نہ مزدور کی ہے نہ کسان کی، نہ پاکستانی عوام کی ہے نہ افغان عوام کی۔ یہ جنگ عالمی سامراجی طاقتوں، اسلحہ ساز سرمایہ داروں اور ان کے مقامی حکمران اتحادیوں کی ہے جو اپنے سیاسی و معاشی بحران عوام کے خون سے حل کرنا چاہتے ہیں۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ ایران پر حملہ کسی دفاعی کارروائی کا نام نہیں بلکہ سامراجی رجیم چینج پالیسی کا تسلسل ہے۔ فلسطین میں صیہونی نسل کشی اور ایران کے خلاف یلغار ایک ہی سامراجی منصوبے کے دو رخ ہیں، جن کا مقصد پورے خطے کو جنگ کی آگ میں جھونک کر امریکی بالادستی کو قائم رکھنا ہے۔ نام نہاد “قواعد پر مبنی عالمی نظام” دراصل سرمایہ دارانہ لوٹ مار اور فوجی غلبے کا دوسرا نام ہے، جس کی حفاظت میں کئی مسلم ممالک کے حکمران طبقے بھی شریک ہیں۔
افضل شاہ خاموش نے کہا کہ پاکستان اور افغانستان کے درمیان حالیہ کشیدگی کسی اچانک واقعے کا نتیجہ نہیں بلکہ دہائیوں پر محیط سامراجی مداخلت، ریاستی غلط پالیسیوں اور مقامی حکمران طبقوں کی طبقاتی سیاست کا منطقی انجام ہے۔ پچاس برس سے اس خطے کو کبھی “جہاد” اور کبھی “دہشت گردی کے خلاف جنگ” کے نام پر بارود کا میدان بنایا گیا۔ پختونخوا، بلوچستان اور افغانستان کے غریب عوام لاشیں اٹھاتے رہے جبکہ فائدہ ہمیشہ سرمایہ دار طاقتوں، عسکری معاہدوں اور سامراجی مفادات کو پہنچتا رہا۔ ہم نے انتہاپسندی کے بیج خود بوئے، نفرت کے بیانیے کو ریاستی سرپرستی دی، اور آج وہی بیج آگ بن کر پورے خطے کو جلا رہے ہیں۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ موجودہ جنگی ماحول دراصل عوام کو مہنگائی، بے روزگاری، نجکاری، زمینوں کی لوٹ مار اور مزدور دشمن پالیسیوں جیسے اصل مسائل سے ہٹانے کی کوشش ہے۔ جب روٹی چھن رہی ہو، فیکٹریاں بند ہوں اور کسان کو فصل کا دام نہ ملے تو حکمران طبقہ قوم پرستی اور جنگ کا شور مچاتا ہے تاکہ طبقاتی سوال دب جائے۔ جنگ ہمیشہ غربت کو گہرا کرتی ہے اور سرمایہ داروں کی تجوریاں بھرتی ہے۔
مرکزی چیئرمین نے سوال اٹھایا کہ کیا کابل میں فیصلے محنت کش افغان عوام کرتے ہیں؟ کیا اسلام آباد اور پشاور میں فیصلے مزدور اور کسان کی مرضی سے ہوتے ہیں؟ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ دونوں جانب اقتدار چند طاقتور حلقوں کے پاس ہے اور قیمت سرحد کے دونوں طرف کے غریب عوام ادا کرتے ہیں۔ بندوق کا فیصلہ ایوانوں میں ہوتا ہے اور لاشیں بستیوں سے اٹھتی ہیں۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ سرحد کے دونوں طرف کے عوام کے مفادات ایک جیسے ہیں۔ انہیں جنگ نہیں چاہیے، انہیں روزگار چاہیے، انہیں تعلیم اور علاج چاہیے، انہیں امن اور باعزت زندگی چاہیے۔ اگر مذہب کا نام لیا جاتا ہے تو یاد رکھا جائے کہ سرمایہ داروں کی جنگ کو جہاد کہنا دین کی توہین ہے۔ اگر پختونولی کا نام لیا جاتا ہے تو اس کی بنیاد بارود نہیں بلکہ جرگہ، رواداری اور بھائی چارہ ہے۔ اگر افغانیت کی بات کی جاتی ہے تو اس کا مطلب بیرونی طاقتوں کی جنگ کا ایندھن بننا نہیں۔ اور اگر پاکستانیت کا دعویٰ ہے تو اس کا مطلب اپنے ہی مزدوروں اور کسانوں کو جنگ کی بھٹی میں جھونک دینا نہیں۔
پاکستان مزدور کسان پارٹی مطالبہ کرتی ہے کہ فوری طور پر ایران پر جارحیت بند کی جائے اور پاکستان و افغانستان کے درمیان ہر قسم کی عسکری کارروائیاں روکی جائیں، سرحدی تنازعات کو بندوق کے بجائے سیاسی اور عوامی مکالمے سے حل کیا جائے، متاثرہ علاقوں میں فوری ریلیف، روزگار اور بحالی فراہم کی جائے، سامراجی طاقتوں کے ساتھ کیے گئے جنگی معاہدے ختم کیے جائیں، اور خطے کے محنت کش عوام کے درمیان طبقاتی یکجہتی کو فروغ دیا جائے۔
انہوں نے عوام سے اپیل کی کہ نفرت اور جنگی جنون کے بیانیے کا حصہ نہ بنیں۔ یہ لڑائی ہماری نہیں ہے۔ یہ لڑائی ان کی ہے جو منافع کے لیے لاشیں بیچتے ہیں۔ ہماری لڑائی روٹی، زمین، روزگار اور امن کے لیے ہے۔ یہ وقت بندوق کی سیاست کا نہیں، یہ وقت طبقاتی شعور کی سیاست کا ہے۔ یہ وقت سامراجی جنگ کے انکار کا ہے اور محنت کش عوام کی یکجہتی کا ہے۔ اگر ہم نے تاریخ سے سبق نہ سیکھا تو ایک بار پھر یہی خطہ آگ میں جھونک دیا جائے گا اور فائدہ سامراج کو ہوگا، نقصان عوام کا۔
