PEN is certified by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy, which evaluates non-profits against objective parameters in internal governance, financial management and program delivery. UKAS has also certified PEN under ISO 9001:2008 standards for implementation of quality management system. Donations to PEN are deductible against the Income Tax liability of individual and corporate donors according to Section 2 (36) of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001.
