A Little Surprise at LAPS ❤️

Most people know LAPS for our dogs. More than 300 of them call our shelter home.

But every now and then, life at the shelter gives us a surprise.

Some time ago, this beautiful donkey came into our care after being abandoned. There wasn't really a question about what to do. Hazel, as she is now named, needed a safe place, food and someone to look after her—so she became part of the LAPS family too.

And recently, our family got a little bigger.

Meet the newest—and quite possibly the smallest—member of LAPS. ❤️

Hazel surprised us with this beautiful little baby, who is now exploring the shelter alongside his mother and getting accustomed to all the attention.

Watching the two of them together has been one of those simple moments that reminds us why LAPS exists.

We may have started out rescuing dogs, but compassion doesn't really recognize species. When an animal needs help and we have the ability to provide it, we try.

For now, mother and baby are safe together at LAPS

Welcome to the family, little one. ❤️

Behind every rescue is a team working tirelessly to keep these animals alive. ❤️🐾

Our amazing vets and staff are constantly caring for our animals, treating emergency cases and giving every rescue the medical attention, love and second chance they deserve.

And then there are these adorable little kittens we recently rescued. 🐱❤️ They are safe with us now — but every new rescue also means another mouth to feed, another animal to vaccinate, treat, sterilise and care for.

I honestly get exhausted telling people: PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS. 🙏
Animals keep multiplying, litters are born, and then when families realise they cannot care for them, these innocent animals are abandoned. The cycle never ends.

We cannot keep taking in more animals without your help. Our numbers are growing, and so are the food, medicines, veterinary care and daily expenses.

Please donate whatever you can. Even a small contribution helps us keep going. ❤️

💔 Every Emergency Case Is Why We Keep Going

This is exactly why we do what we do. 💔

Animals like this one have nowhere else to turn. They suffer silently on the streets until someone stops, sees their pain, and gives them a chance.

Every emergency rescue means medical treatment, medicines, food, care and hope—and we can only continue because of the people who stand beside us.

But we cannot do this alone. 🙏
Please continue supporting LAPS. Even a small donation can help save a life.

And if you cannot donate, please share this post with your friends and family. One share can reach someone who can help.

Together, we can give these forgotten animals the care they desperately need. ❤️🐾

💔 We Are Reaching a Breaking Point

I am asking for your help—not for anything for myself, but for the hundreds of animals who depend on LAPS every single day.

As a woman trying to keep this shelter running, it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with our food bills. We are already deeply in debt to our food vendors, and I honestly don’t know how much longer we can continue asking them to wait.

If we cannot pay for food, I cannot feed the animals. And if I cannot feed them, I cannot keep the shelter open. 💔

We have never turned away an animal because they were injured, abandoned, sick or unwanted. But we cannot do this alone anymore.

🙏 Please become a monthly supporter. Even $5 or 500 pkr a month can help keep a bowl of food filled. If enough people give a small amount every month, together we can keep LAPS alive and continue saving lives.

💔 Snoker’s story is a reminder of why we cannot stop.

Snoker was found injured on the streets, vulnerable and suffering. We rescued him, treated his wounds and gave him the time, care and love he needed to heal. Today, he is safe with us—but every single day, another emergency case arrives.

This is the reality of rescue work. The rescues don’t stop, and neither do the bills. Medicines, veterinary care, food, vaccinations, supplies and daily shelter expenses are constantly needed. Sometimes we wonder how we will keep up, but we simply cannot turn away an animal in desperate need. ❤️‍🩹

We are incredibly grateful to this wonderful lady who collected donations and purchased much-needed dry food for our shelter dogs. 🙏❤️ Her kindness means so much to us.

But we need your help too. Even a small donation can help put food in a bowl, medicine in our hands, or give an injured animal the chance to survive.

Please stand with Snoker and the many animals still waiting for their chance.

🐾 From suffering to safety — but the journey takes time. ❤️

Some of the cats we rescue arrive in absolutely horrendous conditions—abandoned Persians, ginger cats, frightened strays, injured and neglected animals who have known far more pain than kindness.

Rehabilitation doesn’t happen overnight. For some of these cats, it has taken months, sometimes years, before they finally learned to trust again. Today, with proper food, medical care, spaying, neutering, vaccinations and, most importantly, patience and love, they are beginning to feel safe. 🥺❤️

Every rescued cat deserves this chance. And there are so many more waiting outside—hungry, sick, abandoned and vulnerable.

We are doing everything we can with the resources we have, but we cannot do it alone. Your support helps us feed them, treat them, vaccinate them and give them the safe life they deserve.

Please help us continue saving lives. 🙏🐾

💔 Coco came to us broken… but she never gave up. 🐾

When this sweet girl arrived, her legs were badly shattered and severely injured. The pain she endured is impossible to imagine. 💔

Coco needed multiple surgeries, veterinary care, medication, bandages, and weeks of recovery. Every treatment helped repair her injuries, manage her pain, and give her body the chance to heal. Donations helped make that care possible — and they continue to support her food, shelter, follow-up treatment, and rehabilitation.

Today, Coco is doing okay. ❤️

One of her legs still isn’t 100%, and the vets suggested amputation. But because Coco can balance herself and use that leg, we chose to give her the chance to keep it. With continued care and monitoring, she can keep moving forward. 🐶❤️

She may not walk perfectly. She may always carry the scars of what happened to her. But she is alive, loved, and finally safe — and that is what matters.

Coco is just one dog.

Every day, countless dogs like her are suffering on the streets — injured, hungry, abandoned, and waiting for someone to notice them. Donations help us respond when emergencies happen. They pay for examinations, X-rays, surgeries, pain relief, antibiotics, medication, nutritious food, safe shelter, rehabilitation, and ongoing care for dogs who have nowhere else to turn.

A donation can help provide the treatment that saves an injured dog’s leg. It can give a frightened animal a safe place to recover. It can provide food during recovery, medicine to prevent infection, or emergency care when every minute matters.

But the heartbreaking truth is… we can only do so much alone. 💔

That’s why we need you.

Your contribution can help us rescue and care for more dogs like Coco — dogs who need urgent medical attention, protection, patience, and a second chance. Even a small donation can help turn suffering into healing and fear into safety.

Could Hazel be carrying a little miracle? 🥹❤️

We suspect our beautiful Hazel may be pregnant, and we couldn’t be more excited at the possibility of a new life after everything she has endured.

Donkeys are among the sweetest, gentlest animals on earth, yet they are so often abused, overworked and discarded when they are no longer useful.

Hazel was thrown away with wounds covering her body and an injured leg. Today, she is safe, loved and receiving the nutrition and care she desperately needed.

Now, if she is indeed expecting, we have an even greater responsibility to protect her and her little one. 🫏❤️

Please help us give Hazel the care she deserves.
Your support can provide her food, medical care and everything she needs during this precious time.

While the world carries on, our team keeps fighting for the lives that have nobody else. ❤️🐾

Our vets and staff work tirelessly every day—checking our animals, preparing their food, giving treatments and caring for more than 300 lives who depend entirely on us.

And then there are the ones we find along the way. This tiny kitten was crying outside a pharmacy—lost, hungry, dehydrated and completely alone. I couldn’t walk away. She is now safe at LAPS and receiving the treatment she needs. 🐱💔➡️❤️

This summer has been devastating. The heat has taken two of our dogs from us, and protecting 300+ animals from heatstroke, ticks and fleas has been an exhausting battle.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who donated flea and tick medication through our Wishlist. Because of you, we were able to protect ALL 300 animals. 🙏❤️

But please don’t think the fight is over.

Tomorrow another injured animal may arrive. Another abandoned kitten may be crying for help. Another life may need medicine, food or emergency treatment.

We cannot save them alone.

Please stand with us. Your support can mean the difference between an animal suffering and an animal surviving.
