A medical camp was successfully conducted in Village Shamsabad through the collaborative efforts of GBTI and Mercy Corps, aimed at providing accessible and quality healthcare services to the local community.

The camp utilized a Telemedicine Cart and Mobile Health Van to deliver healthcare services directly at the community’s doorstep. A total of 66 patients benefited from the initiative through:

Dr. Mukhtar Ullah from DHQ Attock carried out comprehensive medical examinations and consultations for the patients. Under the 12-month project β€œSustainable Livelihoods through Green Skills”, a significant milestone was achieved through the distribution of 50 Silver Poultry Sets (5 hens and 1 c**k per household) among deserving and vulnerable families in Village Rajian, District Chakwal.

A total of 300 healthy chicks (12 weeks old) were provided on more than 75% subsidy, enabling poor households to establish and strengthen backyard poultry farming. This intervention aims to enhance household food security, improve family nutrition through access to eggs and poultry products, and create sustainable income-generating opportunities for rural communities.

The activity reflects our commitment to empowering communities through practical livelihood support, helping families build resilience, reduce poverty, and improve their overall quality of life.

This project is being implemented with the support of Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) and the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), with the objective of improving the quality of life of rural communities and enabling the people of Rajian to develop sustainable livelihoods while promoting local economic development.

As part of the Rehabilitation of Rural Drinking Water Supply Schemes (RRDWSS) Project, Electrical Resistivity Surveys (ERS) were successfully conducted at VO Bara Baffa, VO Podnial, and VO Pakhwal Rehmat Bagh in District Mansehra. These surveys are a vital technical step in identifying suitable groundwater sources and ensuring the sustainability of future drinking water supply interventions.

Implemented in collaboration with the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), the RRDWSS Project aims to improve health, reduce vulnerability, and enhance the quality of life of rural households through sustainable access to safe and reliable drinking water services.

Through this initiative, 10 rural drinking water supply schemes will be constructed, rehabilitated, or upgraded across selected villages of District Mansehra, benefiting approximately 2,000 households. The project will help ensure reliable access to clean drinking water, contributing significantly to improved public health, better hygiene practices, and enhanced living conditions for local communities.

Technical and vocational training for 100 rural women is currently underway at the Government Technical & Vocational Training Institute (KTS), Haripur, under a collaborative initiative of the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Ghazi Barotha Taraqiati Idara (GBTI), Institute of Rural Management (IRM), PTCL, U Bank, and Ufone.

In collaboration with the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Ghazi Barotha Taraqiati Idara (GBTI) proudly celebrated World Environment Day 2026 at the Government Technical & Vocational Center (GTVC) for Women, Khalabat, Haripur, under the global theme of Climate Action.

The event brought together community leaders, development practitioners, instructors, and talented women trainees to raise awareness about environmental sustainability and collective responsibility towards combating climate change.

The occasion was graced by MNA Dr. Shaista Jadoon as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by Baikhtiyar Project trainees, faculty members, and institutional leadership.

The program commenced with welcoming remarks by Mr. Agha Zafar Ali, General Manager GBTI, who highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and tree plantation, emphasizing that protecting nature is deeply rooted in the teachings of the Holy Quran.
