Consultant – Market Assessment Report Writer
(RAISE Project – District Charsadda)
Rural Development Organization (RDO) seeks an experienced Consultant (Individual/Firm) to develop a comprehensive Market Assessment Report for the HOPE’87 / Dutch MFA-funded RAISE Project.Interested applicants are requested to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) via email at [email protected] no later than February 20, 2026.
About RDO and the Project
Rural Development Organization (RDO), established in 1999 and registered under the Voluntary Social Welfare Act 1961 (Reg. No. 2627), is currently implementing the RAISE Project (Rural Advancement through Integrated Social-Protection and Economic Empowerment) in District Charsadda with funding from HOPE’87 under the Dutch MFA-funded BeST Project.As part of the Economic Development component of the project, RDO has conducted a Market Assessment. Data has been collected through structured questionnaires and compiled in Excel format.RDO invites applications from qualified and experienced consultants to develop a comprehensive, evidence-based Market Assessment Report based on the collected dataset.
Assignment Overview
The selected Consultant / Report Writer will analyze the existing dataset and produce a Market Assessment Report to inform:
• Market-aligned skills development programming
• Protection-sensitive livelihood interventions
• Business development planning
• Market systems strengthening under the RAISE Project
Scope of Work
The Consultant will:
• Review the questionnaire and assessment objectives
• Clean and validate the Excel dataset
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis
• Identify viable business and livelihood opportunities
• Analyze market gaps, risks, and constraints
• Assess barriers faced by women, youth, refugees, and vulnerable groups
• Provide strategic and actionable recommendations
• Present findings using tables, charts, and analytical narratives
No additional field data collection is required.
Deliverables
1. Draft Market Assessment Report (by Day 7)
2. Final Market Assessment Report (by Day 10, incorporating feedback)
3. Analytical tables and visual summaries
Duration of Assignment
Total duration: 10 calendar days
Expected start date: 25 February 2026
Required Qualifications
• Advanced degree in Economics, Development Studies, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in market assessments or economic analysis
• Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis
• Experience in livelihood or economic development programming
• Experience working in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa contexts preferred
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality analytical reports within tight deadlines
