Case Pending Before the Honorable Chief Justice Islamabad High Court, Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar
PIYASS International Human Rights has continuously highlighted the important public interest matter regarding indoor and outdoor sheesha cafés in Islamabad. The case is currently pending before the Honorable Chief Justice Islamabad High Court, Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar.
The petition’s position is that wherever sheesha cafés are found violating the law, government SOPs, or relevant regulations, or where evidence of illegal activities such as drugs, unlawful dance parties, or other prohibited activities exists, action should be taken strictly in accordance with the law.
During this public awareness campaign, our Chairman faced severe pressure, threats, and a life-threatening firing incident. Despite these challenges, he continued his struggle for the supremacy of law, protection of the younger generation, and public interest.
PIYASS International Human Rights has announced that a peaceful walk (Peace Walk) will be held from Parliament House to the Supreme Court against violations related to indoor and outdoor sheesha cafés. The purpose of this peaceful initiative is to create public awareness, highlight the importance of protecting the younger generation, and call upon relevant authorities for effective implementation of the law.
We have full confidence that the Honorable Court will deliver a decision based on law and available evidence, ensuring justice, public interest, and the protection of the younger generation.
