Last May 6, 2026, Maxim Rides & Food Delivery shared their support with the children, youth, and SOS Mothers of SOS Children’s Villages Iloilo through a meaningful initiative in celebration of Mother’s Day.

Inspired by the dedication, compassion, and care of our SOS Mothers, they extended a simple but heartfelt effort to recognize and uplift them on this special occasion. They also provided in-kind grocery support for the children and youth in our care.

SOS Children’s Villages Iloilo continues to create stronger spaces where children can grow with safety and hope. The maintenance and repainting of family house roofs are currently underway to help create safer and more comfortable homes for the children and youth under our care.

MAMA GEMMA: A LIFE OF LOVE AND MOTHERHOOD AT SOS ILOILO

Mama Gemma’s journey is one of service, sacrifice, and unconditional love. As the first retired SOS Mother of SOS Children's Village Iloilo, she dedicated 22 years to raising children with care, love, and compassion.

She was inspired by her own upbringing in a large, loving family and chose to become an SOS Mother to give children the same sense of belonging and care she once experienced. Through training and early experiences in the village, she quickly understood the emotional depth and responsibility of the role. 💚

SALAMAT, ILOILO DOCTORS' COLLEGE! 💙

Today, May 8, 2026, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing-3 students of Iloilo Doctors' College held their culmination activity at SOS Children’s Villages Iloilo as part of their Psychiatric Nursing affiliation aimed at uplifting the mental well-being of the children.

Through supportive activities for children in the Family-Like Care Program, including young people with special needs, the students shared not only their skills and time, but also kindness and compassion that brought joy and encouragement to the village. They also helped brighten the community through their mural art.

Our heartfelt thanks to the BSN 3 students, their Clinical Instructor Ms. Liza Marie Saludes, R.N., and Iloilo Doctors' College for this meaningful partnership and support for the children and youth of SOS Children’s Villages Iloilo.
