Greetings everyone,
As we officially close the 2025–2026 coffee harvest season, our hearts are full of gratitude. This season, we harvested more than 5,000 kgs of coffee cherries and released more than ₱216,000 in harvesting compensation to over 40 farmers, from young teenagers helping their families to elders more than 80 years old who still continue to farm.
Daghan kaayong salamat sa EDC/PNOC and DENR for the planting materials and budgetary support. We are also thankful to DTI, DA, PATCO, AMAD, and PhilMech for believing in our growing coffee community.
Special thanks usab sa DOLE and DILP Grant, especially to Ma’am Rubie, for the processing equipment. Sauna, lisod pa gani maka-abot og ₱100,000 among halin and bayanihan ra gyud among pag-harvest. Karun, we are already buying almost a quarter of a million pesos worth of coffee from farmers, and coffee alone reached nearly half a million pesos in gross sales this year. Dako na kaayo ni for a small farming community like ours.
El Niño continues to challenge us, and until now, there is still uncertainty kung kanus-a ang uban nga assistance. But farmers have always learned how to survive difficult seasons. Kapoy usahay, pero padayon lang gihapon.
Since the reforestation efforts started in 1991, our community slowly moved away from the mindset of using poverty as a reason to denude the forest. Today, we are trying to build a community where farming creates dignity, livelihood, and opportunities even for those whose voices are often unheard.
To everyone who supported our farmers, bought our coffee, trusted our community, and believed in what we do — thank you kaayo. This harvest season was never just about coffee. It was about people, hard work, and hope.
