The 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀’ 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗜𝗣𝗬𝗢) 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗻𝘂𝗰 proudly joins the entire nation in celebrating 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 this March 2026!

In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Indigenous Peoples’ Youth Organization (IPYO) Sinunuc stands in solidarity in honoring the strength, resilience, and invaluable contributions of women in our communities. We recognize the vital role of Indigenous women in preserving culture, leading with wisdom, and shaping a more inclusive and empowered future for the next generation. Together, we continue to advocate for equality, respect, and meaningful participation of women in all sectors of society.

The 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲'𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻–𝗦𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗻𝘂𝗰 is joining the global celebration of the 2026 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑯𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒚 𝑾𝒆𝒆𝒌 (𝑾𝑰𝑯𝑾), observed from 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭 𝘁𝗼 𝟳. 🕊️✨

Peace is more than a word—it is a collective action we live and practice every day. In solidarity with the 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, we celebrate this meaningful week under the theme “Celebrating 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 in the 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝘀𝘁 of 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 and 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘀.” This observance reminds us that through collaboration across faiths and cultures, we can build a future grounded in empathy, mutual respect, and solidarity. As young leaders, we remain active navigators and agents of peace within our community and beyond. 🕊️✨

The World Interfaith Harmony Week is also supported by 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟬𝟱𝟮𝟱, an Act declaring the first week of February of every year as World Interfaith Harmony Week and mandating its observance by government agencies nationwide.

The Indigenous Peoples Youth Organization – Sinunuc (IPYO-Sinunuc) was delighted and deeply honored to have received a formal letter of invitation from the Katipunan ng Kabataan President, Mr. Arin P. Hajad, to attend the 2nd Katipunan ng Kabataan General Assembly held on December 29, 2025. This invitation reflected the recognition of IPYO-Sinunuc’s efforts and the important role of Indigenous Peoples youth in community development and youth leadership.

Being formally invited to the General Assembly was a meaningful milestone for IPYO-Sinunuc, as it strengthened our engagement with fellow youth leaders and youth-serving organizations. The gathering provided a valuable platform for dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas aimed at promoting inclusive participation and collective action among the youth.

We expressed our sincere gratitude to President Arin P. Hajad and the Katipunan ng Kabataan for the opportunity and trust extended to our organization. IPYO-Sinunuc was grateful to have been part of this significant assembly and remained committed to contributing to initiatives that uphold unity, leadership, and empowered youth participation in our community.

Partners, leaders, and community members gathered at the Grand Astoria Hotel, Royce Convention, Zamboanga City on December 16, 2025 for the PEACE Project, “Promotion of Child Rights of Internally Displaced Ethnic Group of Sama Bajau.” The event opened with meaningful cultural and ceremonial moments, setting the tone for unity, peace, and shared responsibility.

The program highlighted the voices of IP youth through inspiring stories, the reading of the Sama Youth Manifesto, and the turnover of a multi-stakeholder localized plan to the Zamboanga City LGU.

Messages of solidarity from the LGU, NCIP, and partner organizations reinforced the collective commitment to protect child rights and empower internally displaced communities.

Through traditional Sama dances, the signing of support to the youth manifesto, and a closing Sayaw Kapayapaan, the event celebrated culture, partnership, and hope—moving forward together for peace and a better future for Sama Bajau children and youth.
