Rotary Central Mobilizes for Economic Growth and Global Polio Eradication 🇵🇭

Zamboanga City, Philippines – The Rotary Club of Zamboanga City Central held its 7th regular meeting at the Astoria Hotel, strategically focusing on the significance of October as Economic and Community Development Month and a critical time for End Polio Day advocacy.

Led by President Carlo Mario Jacobe, the meeting served as a powerful rallying call for members to embody the Rotary motto, "Service Above Self." President Jacobe urged Rotarians to actively participate in initiatives that foster sustainable livelihoods and educational opportunities in marginalized communities.

This commitment includes:

* Advancing the club's vocational training projects.
* The continued giving of scholarships to marginalized students.
* Maximizing awareness campaigns leading up to World Polio Day on October 24.

The Club also finalized details for its major public event:

* The annual Polio awareness bike-run-walk on October 26, an event designed to raise funds and educate the public on the final, crucial push to eradicate the disease globally.

The club’s comprehensive efforts are part of its broader campaign to , aligning directly with the goals of Rotary International District 3850 and the overarching Rotary mission to create lasting change worldwide.

Rotary Club of Zamboanga City Central Continues Vocational & Community Service Project at Zamboanga International Airport

Members of the Rotary Club of Zamboanga City Central recently visited our Blind Masseur Project station, located near the Departure Area of the Zamboanga City International Airport.

This ongoing initiative simultaneously supports Vocational Services by providing sustainable employment for a visually impaired individual, enhances Community Development, and positively impacts our club's Public Image within Zamboanga City.
