𝐂𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐩| 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐚 2026 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦

With grateful hearts, Simariki School for Indigenous Peoples successfully concludes Brigada Eskwela 2026 through a meaningful Culmination Program filled with joy, gratitude, and community spirit.

As part of the celebration, our learners received school supplies, school bags, tumblers, and hygiene kits to help them prepare for the opening of classes. These gifts serve as reminders that they are supported by a community that believes in their education and future.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our dear partners, donors, volunteers, parents, and stakeholders who continuously support our school and our learners. Your generosity, commitment, and dedication have made this year's Brigada Eskwela a success.

Together, we have demonstrated the true spirit of Bayanihan—working hand in hand to provide a safe, welcoming, and nurturing learning environment for every child.

𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲-2027 𝗢𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐊𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐎𝐟𝐟! 📚 🧹

With hearts united in service and a shared commitment to education, Simariki School for Indigenous People officially launched 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗘𝘀𝗸𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗮 2026 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 2026–2027 today, June 1, 2026, under the inspiring theme: “𝑩𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝑳𝒊𝒈𝒕𝒂𝒔 𝒂𝒕 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒈 𝒏𝒂 𝑷𝒂𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒏.”

The opening program brought together the Council of Elders, PTA Officers, teachers, parents, learners, and the CCES Team, all demonstrating the true spirit of bayanihan—working hand in hand to create a safe, welcoming, and resilient learning environment for every child.

Throughout the week, from June 1–5, 2026, volunteers and stakeholders will collaborate in various initiatives aimed at preparing our school for the opening of classes. These efforts include improving school facilities, ensuring safety and cleanliness, strengthening reading and literacy support, mobilizing community partnerships, and assisting learners with enrollment for the upcoming school year.

We are especially grateful to our generous sponsors and partners for their invaluable contributions of paints, paint brushes, nails, plywood, and other materials that will help enhance our classrooms and repair school facilities. Your kindness and support are helping transform our vision into reality.

Today’s gathering is a powerful reminder that education is not the responsibility of schools alone—it is a shared mission of families, community leaders, partners, and volunteers. Through collaboration, dedication, and collective action, we are building more than classrooms; we are building opportunities, hope, and a brighter future for our learners.

As we begin this meaningful journey, we invite everyone to continue extending their time, talents, resources, and support. Together, we can ensure that every learner enters a school that is clean, safe, inclusive, and ready for learning.

Celebrating Our Volunteers | International Year of Volunteers 2026
Behind every relief pack handed out, every community reached, and every life touched, there are people who choose to show up — quietly, faithfully, and without asking for anything in return.

This year, as the world observes the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development (IVY 2026), we honor the heart of the Social Development Unit of Ateneo de Zamboanga University and the countless volunteers who bring our mission to life. Their work is not measured only in numbers, but in the trust they build, the hands they hold, and the dignity they restore.
Volunteers are the closest bridge between the University and the communities we serve. It is through their everyday acts — listening, supporting, and responding — that real, lasting change takes root across Zamboanga and beyond.

But honoring volunteers must go beyond words. It means investing in them, empowering them, and embedding the spirit of volunteerism into how we plan, fund, and carry out our work for sustainable development.
To every Atenean volunteer who has given their time, energy, and compassion: thank you. You embody the call to be persons-for-others, and you remind us of a simple, universal truth — that we are Better Together.

𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙, 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙟𝙤𝙧 𝙬𝙞𝙣! 🏆

Huge congratulations to the 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀’ 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗭𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 (𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗱𝗭) for a historic sweep at the 𝗔𝗠𝗗𝗚 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 last May 15 at the Carlos Dominguez Conference Hall, AdZU, La Purisima.

Not only was IPAdZ officially named 𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗕, but its officers and members also took home well-deserved individual awards, an incredible milestone for their very first year of accreditation.

This success showcases the deep commitment of its exceptional team and the faith and trust given by the 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 (𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦).

Ateneo de Zamboanga University through Center for Community Extension Services opens the 𝑺𝑴𝑨𝑹𝑻 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎 (𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑻𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚) at Simariki School for Indigenous People — a Summer Remedial Class initiative dedicated to helping Grades 1–6 learners strengthen and improve their numeracy and literacy skills.

Starting with the assessment conducted on May 13, 2026, dedicated CCES Program Officers began providing engaging, meaningful, and learner-centered interventions to help every child build stronger foundations in Reading and Mathematics. Because every learner deserves the chance to grow, learn, and succeed.

𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿?
