The Rotaract and Interact Zamboanga City Council proudly joins the celebration of the Rotary International District 3850 District-Wide Kick-Off Activity as we officially welcome the new Rotary Year through 𝙋𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙄𝙎𝘼𝘿𝙔𝘼 on July 26, 2026, at St. Francis Orphanage, Pasonanca, Zamboanga City. 💙❤️

This meaningful initiative brings together Rotaractors and Interactors across Zamboanga City to create a day of joy, hope, and meaningful connections with the children of St. Francis Orphanage. Through fellowship and service, we aim to remind every child that they are valued, encouraged, and celebrated.

¡Vení ya y hace kita este día un recuerdo lleno de alegría, amistad, y servicio para con todo el corazón! 💙

Get ready for a fun-filled day of exciting games, arts and crafts, interactive activities, music, and plenty of smiles as we share moments of kindness, laughter, and friendship.

Leptospirosis Awareness💕✨
Rainy season is here, which means we need to be prepared for the heavy rain, as we enjoy this lovely weather after the storm of heat waves we still need to be aware of the dangers that came along with the downpour. 🌧️

let's learn about 'Leptospirosis'- Is a bacterial infection that could spread through floods that consist of urine of infected animals like dogs, rats, and farm animals. People get sick by having contact with contaminated water or soil.😱

PREVENTING 'Leptospirosis'
✅ Wear protective clothing - Going outside while there's floods always wear protective clothing to make sure that infectious disease from the flood water will not contaminate you!😺Wearing raincoats and raincoat are highly recommended to use!
✅ Don't swim in the potentially contaminated water - Avoid exposing yourself in the flood water and rain to reduces risk of having the flu🤕. Wait for emergency responders nearby!🚨
✅ Wash your hands properly - Singing the "Happy birthday" song two types is the preferred amount of time you should wash your hands🫧, specifically if you made contact with sick or dead animals. To make sure it's clean and theres no bacterias in your hand!
✅ Consume clean drinking water - when you drink water you should be aware of where it came from to make sure that it is clean. Drinking clean water is the very first step of your health safety.

'Leptospirosis' shows mild-flu symptoms and can appear similar to dengue, thyroid and viral hepatitis, you would also feel:
* Fever
* Chills
* Head ache
* Muscle pain

But not to worry! It is a preventable and treatable disease just make sure to be safe at all times and do what professionals advise you to do. PREVENTION is the first line of defense against it. And together with guide and safety we to cloud fight it as one😊.

CLUB FAIR & ORIENTATION was a success! IAC 2026–2027's first activity has officially been accomplished! 🎉✨

The Club Registration and Orientation of the Interact Club of WMSU was held today, July 17, 2026. We express our deepest gratitude to all the members who helped and contributed to the success of this event 💌. It was made possible through the unity, determination, dedication, and kindness of each one of us. To everyone who guided and supported us, we truly appreciate you. 💟 💞

To those who attended and joined us, we commend your commitment and willingness to serve with purpose!❤️‍🔥 With genuine hearts and a passion for service, may you be among those chosen to become part of IAC for the 2026–2027 Rotary Year. Together with us, we hope you find fulfillment in interacting, organizing, serving others, and making a meaningful impact. 🤩

✨ 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝘼𝙗𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙡𝙛 means standing up for everyone in the community. On June 25, 2026—the Interact Club of WMSU ILS HS along with the Rotaract Club of Western Mindanao State University joined hands and participated in the 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲-𝐖𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞-𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐚 𝐝𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐨 2026 🏳️‍🌈 with the local theme: “𝗢𝗿𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗩𝗼𝘇, 𝗜𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗮𝗱 𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗼” 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 “𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲.” 🫂

In the spirit of compassion, unity, and service this holy month of Ramadan, we are grateful to have collaborated with IAC West in supporting their Free Iftar Project. Together, we were able to contribute 50 bottles of water and sets of utensils to help provide a warm and dignified meal for those breaking their fast. 🤲🌙

Ramadan reminds us of the importance of generosity, empathy, and community. Even small acts of kindness can bring comfort and hope to others, especially during a time dedicated to reflection and giving. Being part of this initiative allowed us to extend a helping hand and share in the blessings of serving others.

We are thankful to IAC West for organizing such a meaningful program and for giving us the opportunity to take part in this act of service. May this collaboration continue to inspire more people to come together, support one another, and spread kindness beyond Ramadan. 💙✨

Sharing Love as We Start the Year ❤️

The Sharing Love Starting the Year event program held in Barangay Talon-Talon was a meaningful way to welcome the year with compassion and unity. This program was conducted by the Interact Club of Western Mindanao State University, guided by the core values of love, compassion, and unity.

This project would not have been possible without the invaluable support of GAD WMSU and IAC ZC, who served as our official partners for this event. From the donation drive to the event proper, their continuous assistance, commitment, and generosity played a vital role in the success of this program. We are truly grateful for your support in helping us share love and hope with the community.

Lastly, we would like to extend our warmest gratitude to the Rotary Club of Metro Zamboanga for their unwavering support, guidance, and assistance throughout this project. Special thanks as well to Rtn. Sandra for being our mentor and for her constant encouragement and leadership.

We look forward to having another meaningful project together in the future, continuing to serve the community with love, compassion, and unity.
