2nd Regular Club Meeting | August 15, 2026

The Rotaract Club of Zamboanga City West successfully held its 2nd Regular Club Meeting on August 15, 2026, at 5:30 PM, at the Emerald Room, Grand Astoria.

Members and officers came together to discuss key priorities that will guide the club's direction for the rest of the Rotary year, including:

●Rotary Club Central Goals Setting
●DRR's Goals and Thrusts
●Peacebuilding & Conflict Prevention Project
●Fundraising Project Updates (Pickleball)
●Project HOPE

With clear goals now in place and momentum building around our initiatives, the club looks forward to an exciting stretch of activities ahead.

ICYMI:

A new feeding center, a new source of hope! πŸ½οΈπŸ’›

The Rotaract Club of Zamboanga City West joined the turnover of the Rotary Feeding Center at Southern Support Command Elementary School last July 16, 2026.

This meaningful project was made possible through the generosity of OWL Foods Corporation (Mano-Mano Chain of Restaurants) and Myler Agribusiness, Inc., in celebration of OWL Foods' 25th Anniversary, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Zamboanga City West and our club.

Before, the school had no proper space dedicated to feeding programs for its students. Now, thanks to this project, Southern Support Command Elementary School has a permanent Rotary Feeding Center - a space that will help ensure children receive proper nutrition, supporting their health, focus, and overall growth both in and out of the classroom.

We're proud to be part of this initiative that will help nourish young minds and support the well-being of students for years to come. Salamat to our partners for trusting us to be part of this lasting impact!

Isang matagumpay na pagdiriwang! πŸŽ‰

The Rotaract Club of Zamboanga City West proudly celebrated our 17th Induction and Turnover Ceremonies with the theme "Pista sa Nayon" last August 1, 2026, at the Crystal Ballroom, Grand Astoria Hotel!

We witnessed the symbolic passing of leadership as Outgoing President Hazra Ibrahim-Sappayani turned over the reins to our new Incoming President, Darylle Sanghanan. Maraming salamat, Pres. Hazra, for your dedicated service and heartfelt leadership this past Rotary year! And welcome, Pres. Darylle - we're excited for the renewed purpose, stronger friendships, and meaningful service that lie ahead under your leadership!

Establishing strategic partnerships expands our capacity to deliver impactful community service.

The Rotaract Club of Zamboanga City West engaged in a Solidarity Dinner with representatives from the United States Marine Corps on July 28, 2026, at La Vista del Mar.

Represented by President-Elect Cris Barredo and Past District Rotaract Representative Nick Paira, the exploratory meeting focused on discussing potential avenues for joint civic initiatives and community outreach partnerships for the current Rotary Year.

Community impact is amplified when youth organizations unite toward a common service objective.

Members of the Rotaract Club of Zamboanga City West joined forces with fellow Rotaract and Interact clubs across the Zamboanga City Council for PANGISADYAβ€” A District-Wide Children's Party, on July 27, 2026 at St. Francis Orphanage, Pasonanca, Zamboanga City.

This district-wide outreach project brought together volunteers to host a dedicated children’s party, delivering essential joy, engagement, and direct support to young beneficiaries in the community.

Together, we continue to uphold our commitment to collaborative service and lasting community upliftment.
