Community-Based Tourism: Kulinarya Workshop

The Department of Tourism conducted a two-day Kulinarya Workshop attended by 40 KALIPI Alicia members.

This workshop focused on enhancing local culinary skills, proper food preparation, presentation, sanitation, and basic entrepreneurship. It highlighted the importance of preserving our local flavors while transforming them into tourism-ready products that can attract visitors and create sustainable income opportunities.

Through this activity, our women are empowered with practical skills and knowledge that can help them start small food businesses, improve their livelihoods, and actively participate in community-based tourism initiatives—turning their talents into sources of income for their families and the municipality.

We extend our sincere thanks to the LGU Alicia, headed by Mayor Alvie Musa, Al-hadj, and to our Tourism Head Johayra Gubat, as well as the DOT, for facilitating this meaningful and enriching activity.
