Presenting Entry 01:
Concept Note:
โAng Karagatan ay Alagaanโ
Inspired by the Philippinesโ archipelagic and SDG 14: Life Below Water. It shows how simple actions like Coastal Clean ups and Mangrove Planting can help keep our seas healthy and support marine life. This encourages Filipino Youth, Students, Coastal Communities and the General Public to save our โkaragatanโ.
The Design also improves Disaster Preparedness by emphasizing the value of Mangroves and Healthy Coastal ecosystems. Mangroves can help reduce the impact of the storm surges, flooding, strong waves and coastal erosion, that allows communities to build resilience to typhoons and other coastal hazards.
Overall, the poster and comic serve as a reminder that protecting the โkaragatanโ means protecting our communities and the next Generation.
