The Society of Environmental Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (SEEP), headed by Dr. Jihan Hashim Adil, proudly joined the celebration of Ocean Month 2026 with the theme, โ€œStrong Marine Protected Areas for Our Blue Planet."

In support of environmental conservation and sustainable resource management, SEEP participated in the River Clean-Up Activity spearheaded by the Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources (OCENR) last May 22, 2026, in Brgy. Tugbungan, Zamboanga City.

This initiative serves as a reminder that healthy rivers and oceans are interconnected, and that collective action is essential in protecting our aquatic ecosystems. Through simple acts of stewardship, we contribute to cleaner waterways, healthier communities, and a more sustainable future for generations to come.

Together, let us continue to be advocates for our environment, one clean-up, one action, and one community at a time.

Celebrating World Environment Day through action, purpose, and community! ๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒฑ

The Society of Environmental Engineers of the Philippines-WMSU SC together with our BS Environmental Engineering alumni, proudly joined the World Environment Day celebration through a Trail Plogging Activity organized by EMB Zamboanga Peninsula

More than just a walk and run through nature, this activity served as a meaningful reminder of our shared responsibility to protect and preserve the environment. As we trekked along the trail, we collected litter and waste materials, contributing to cleaner surroundings while promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices.

This initiative reflects the commitment of environmental engineers and future environmental stewards to be part of the solution in addressing environmental challenges. Through simple yet impactful actions, we continue to advocate for a cleaner, greener, and healthier future for all.

Let this World Environment Day inspire us to take action beyond today, because every piece of waste collected, every step taken, and every effort made brings us closer to a more sustainable world.

Today, on World Environment Day, we pause to reflect on the state of our planet, the forests that shelter millions of species, the oceans that sustain life, and the air we share with every living being on Earth. Our planet is calling, and it needs us now more than ever before. ๐ŸŒฟ

Change doesn't begin in a boardroom or a government hall, it begins with you and me. Every small choice adds up: the bag you refused, the tree you planted, the voice you raised. Because at the end of the day, climate action starts with us , and it starts today. ๐Ÿ’š
