Requiescat in pace, Ma’am Vicky!

PASWI Zamboanga City Chapter joins the community with deep sorrow as we mourn the passing of Retired Dean Prof. Victoria G. Alojado, who joined our Creator yesterday, November 7.

Ma'am Vicky wasn't just our current Auditor and former Secretary; she was the heart and soul of our association, a person whose activity and commitment were truly boundless.

To the thousands of Social Work professionals she molded—especially at the WMSU College of Social Work and Community Development (CSWCD)—we share your pain. She was, without question, the very kind Dean and Professor, remembered for her unparalleled warmth, her comforting presence, and the genuine care she showed every single person. She taught us empathy not just through lectures, but through her own life.

We stand with her family, friends, and the entire social work community in mourning this immense loss.

Thank you, Ma'am Vicky, for pouring your kindness, wisdom, and life into all of us. You will be missed beyond measure.

IN PHOTOS: PASWI Zamboanga Chapter President Dr. Marcelina Carpizo and some social work students extended their personal good luck wishes to all aspiring Registered Social Workers taking the 2025 Social Work Licensure Examination.

Starting today, September 8, until September 10, around 525 examinees from universities and colleges in Zamboanga City, Basilan, and Sulu will put their knowledge to the test. The exam covers crucial subjects, including Human Behavior and Social Environment, Social Welfare Policies, Social Work Practice, and Social Work Methods.

Don't forget to schedule your appointment for the Oath-taking Ceremony through your (PRC) LERIS Account.

Here's how to do it:

1. Log in to your LERIS account.
2. Go to Transaction, select Oath
3. Select "Face-to-Face Mass Oathtaking
4. Fill in the required information
5. Choose PRC IX - PRC Pagadian
6. Schedule your appointment for December 5th Astoria Hotel.
