From April 8-10, 2026, a meaningful and transformative Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Training was successfully held at Babami and JC Beach Resort, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte.

Participants from diverse groups- Ipil Municipal Social Welfare Development Office (MSWDO) Admin Staff and Social Workers, house parents, VAW Desk Officers, Barangay Kagawads, PDAO Representatives, KKI Project and Admin Staff, Day Care Workers, and Unbound Head Officer and Staff-gathered with one shared goal: to learn how to communicate with empathy, listen with intention, and respond with compassion.

The training was facilitated by Resource Speaker Fr. Anthony Salas, whose expertise and guidance greatly enriched the learning experience of the participants.

Through engaging activities, real-life sharing, and reflective sessions, the group explored how words can either build walls or create bridges. Each participant walked away with practical tools to manage conflicts peacefully, strengthen relationship, and better serve their communities. More than just a training, it was a space for connection, growth, and inspiration.

As we return to our respective roles, we carry with us a renewed commitment โ€“ to speak with kindness, listen with understanding, and to lead with empathy.
