On August 3, 2026, a productive discussion was held with the City Mayor of Zamboanga, Hon. Capt. Khymer Adan T. Olaso, KKI Executive Director Joanna Amor N. Chiong and the KKI staff, the Kalambuan Homeowners Association Officers, and the Maasin Barangay Council.

The meeting focused on the Kalambuan Housing Water System Project, addressing current challenges and discussing strategic plans to ensure a reliable, safe, and sustainable water supply for every household in Kalambuan Housing and the neighboring communities.

This collaborative effort reflects the shared commitment of all stakeholders to move the project forward efficiently, resolve existing concerns, and improve access to clean and dependable water for the benefit of all residents.

Together, we continue working toward a stronger, healthier, and more sustainable community.

In partnership with MSWDO Ipil and the IBP Zamboanga Sibugay Chapter, the Katilingban sa Kalambuan Org., Inc., proudly highlight the successful culmination of National Anti Trafficking Awareness Month in Atrium, Capitol, Ipil Heights, Zamboanga Sibugay on July 25, 2026
This meaningful event brought together Elementary & High School learners who showcased their talents in a Jazz Chant Competition, alongside the active participation of partner barangays under the ALERT Project and dedicated agencies in the municipality.
Through education, empowerment, and creative expression, the activity amplified our collective advocacy: to stand against trafficking in persons, protect children, and spread a powerful message of hope and action.

On July 25, 2026, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines โ€“ Zamboanga Sibugay Chapter successfully conducted a Legal Aid Caravan in partnership with Katilingban sa Kalambuan Organization, Inc. (KKI) through the project Act and Lobby for Enhanced Response to Trafficking in Persons (ALERT) , funded by Karl Kรผbel Stiftung and German Cooperation, in collaboration with the Ipil Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) .

This activity forms part of the observance of National Anti-Trafficking Awareness Month with the theme:

โ€œIisang Nasyon, Iisang Aksyon: Tapusin ang Human Trafficking Ngayon.โ€

Held at the Atrium, Provincial Capitol, Zamboanga Sibugay, the Legal Aid Caravan provided free legal assistance and strengthened public awareness on preventing human trafficking, protecting the rights of vulnerable individuals, and promoting access to justice through collaborative community action.

๐Ÿšซ UNITED AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING | National Anti-Trafficking Awareness Month 2026 ๐Ÿ’™

The Local Government Unit of Ipil, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), in partnership with the Katilingban sa Kalambuan, Inc. (KKI), officially launched the National Anti-Trafficking Awareness Month 2026 on July 6, 2026, during the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at the LGU Ipil Grounds.

This significant event marks the Municipality's renewed commitment to raising public awareness and strengthening collective action in the fight against human trafficking. As part of the launching activities, anti-trafficking awareness tarpaulins were simultaneously installed across all 28 barangays and in partner schools throughout the Municipality of Ipil, reinforcing the message that every community has a vital role in protecting individuals from exploitation and abuse.

Human trafficking remains a serious violation of human rights that affects countless lives. Through sustained advocacy, education, and collaboration among government agencies, civil society organizations, educational institutions, and the community, we can create a safer environment where every person is protected, respected, and empowered.

Let us stand together in safeguarding the dignity, rights, and future of every Filipino.

As part of the National Anti-Trafficking Awareness Month 2026 celebration, the Local Government Unit of Ipil, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), spearheaded a Mangrove Planting and Growing Activity in collaboration with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) and in partnership with Kalambuan sa Katilingban, Inc. (KKI).

This meaningful initiative highlights our shared commitment to environmental conservation while reinforcing our advocacy for the protection of vulnerable sectors and the promotion of safe, resilient, and empowered communities.

The activity was made possible through the active participation and unwavering support of our partner agencies and stakeholders, including DOLE, OWWA, Cybercrime Unit, DSWD-SWADT, Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)โ€“Ipil, 102nd G IGSUON Brigade, 904th Community Defense Center (CDC), 9th Regional Community Defense Group (9RCDG), Philippine Army, 106th Infantry Battalion, VAW Desk Officers, Barangay Chairpersons and Barangay Councils, Philippine Coast Guard, Maritime personnel, NGOs, private sector partners, Philippine National Policeโ€“Ipil Municipal Police Station (PNP-IMPS), Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Child Representatives, volunteers, the Ipil Reformation Center for Children, MSWDO staff, Sibugay Technical Institute Inc College of Social Work, Dr Aurerlio Mendoza Memorial Colleges- Social Work and many other partners who continue to champion the cause of protection and community development.

We extend our sincerest gratitude to our Local Chief Executive, Hon. Ramses Troy Dy Olegario, for his unwavering leadership, steadfast support, and commitment to programs that promote environmental sustainability and social protection.
