JCI Zamboanga proudly participated in the 2026 JCI Philippines Area V Conference held on September 4–6, 2026, in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Three meaningful days were filled with leadership development, inspiring plenary sessions, skills training, cultural immersion, fellowship, and the prestigious 46th Gawad Mindanao Agung Awards. More than an annual gathering, AreaCon strengthened friendships, opened new opportunities for collaboration, and renewed our commitment to creating positive change in our communities.

We extend our appreciation to JCI Greater Zamboanga Sibugay, the partner chapters, and everyone who made this remarkable AreaCon experience possible.

JCI Zamboanga successfully conducted a transformative learning session for the Mister and Miss Zamboanga Hermosa 2026 candidates, focusing on two essential skills that go beyond the spotlight: personal branding and effective communication.

Through “Beyond the Crown: Social Media and Personal Branding,” led by ASDD Judie-Ann Ebol, 2026 Area Skills Development Director of JCI Philippines Area V Mindanao, participants explored the power of authenticity, digital presence, and purposeful storytelling in building a brand that represents their values and advocacy.

Meanwhile, “The Art of Public Speaking,” facilitated by Christian E. Olasiman, 2027 President-Elect of JCI Zamboanga, strengthened the candidates’ confidence, delivery, and ability to communicate their messages with clarity and impact.

More than a preparation for a competition, this session was a journey toward becoming influential voices, community advocates, and future leaders of Zamboanga.

Because a crown may represent excellence, but a powerful voice creates change.

JCI Zamboanga successfully conducted “𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬. 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭.”, a learning session that challenged participants to move beyond good intentions and start building community projects that are relevant, resourceful, and sustainable.

Led by Bernie Gabuni, 2026 Local Skills Development Director and GABAY 4 Graduate, the session tackled how advocacy can be transformed into concrete action through identifying real community needs, developing workable project ideas, mobilizing resources, building partnerships, and creating impact that lasts.

The session also became a meaningful space for the Mister and Miss Zamboanga Hermosa 2026 candidates to strengthen their understanding of advocacy—not simply as a platform, but as a responsibility to create solutions and inspire action within the community.

Because advocacy should never stop at awareness.
