As part of our celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2025, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy. Sta. Catalina is proud to host a special event dedicated to empowering our youth and community—the 𝐉𝐎𝐁 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐑 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 happening this August 30, 2025, 8:00 AM at Don Gems Covered Court! 🎉

𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 📢 | 1𝒔𝒕 𝑲𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒑𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒏 𝒏𝒈 𝑲𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒂𝒏 (𝑲𝑲) 𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒍𝒚

"Pursuant to Section 6 Rule IIl'of the Rules and
Regulations Implementing Republic Act No. 10742, otherwise known as the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015, all Sangguniang Kabataan Barangay Council to form Katipunan ng Kabataan Assemblies in their respective barangay. Regular assemblies of the KK shall be held at least once every six (6) months, to be convened by the SK."

In line with this, we are inviting all youth aged 15 𝘁𝗼 30 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗹𝗱 to attend and actively participate in the 1𝐬𝐭 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 2025, to be held on June 8, 2025 (𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆) at the Don Gems, Sta. Catalina.

Back in the 18th century, Barangay Sta. Catalina was a lush mangrove area filled with wild animals and nipa palms. Locals made a living through nipa weaving, which became a vital part of our cultural heritage.
In celebration of our roots and the Feast of St. Catherine de Siena (April 29, 2025), the Barangay Council of Sta. Catalina together with Sangguniang Kabataan proudly present a week-long celebration you won’t want to miss!

The LGBT youth of Barangay Sta. Catalina continue to be one of the most marginalized and underserved groups in our community. JUNTA, a safe space for dialogue and support is an initiative that aims to bridge gaps, bring essential services closer to the youth, and expand barangay programs to ensure equal opportunities, protection, and empowerment for all.
