LOOK | The PYAP Field Office 5 (FO5) formally joined the 3-Day Camp at La Vista Del Mar, promoting youth growth, camaraderie, and friendship. The camp provided an opportunity for young people to socialize, build meaningful connections, and meet new friends from different Field Offices.

LINGGO NG KABATAAN & INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY 2026

LOOK | In celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan and International Youth Day, the PYAP Lamisahan and PYAP Field Office 5, headed by President Mico Jay Columbres, continues to encourage the youth to make responsible and positive choices.

President Columbres reminds all young people to stay away from illegal drugs, harmful substances, and any form of illegal activity. Instead, the youth are encouraged to focus on education, leadership, community service, and activities that contribute to a better and safer community.

He also calls on the youth to actively participate in programs and activities conducted for the youth, because every young person has an important role in creating positive change in the community.

Let us use our time, talents, and energy for meaningful activities and become responsible, active, and empowered young leaders.

LOOK | The PYAP Field Office 5, headed by President Mico Jay Columbres, successfully conducted and presided over an online meeting tonight, August 5, 2026, in preparation for the upcoming Linggo ng Kabataan and the PYAP City-Wide Camp.

During the meeting, President Columbres also encouraged all PYAP leaders to continue serving as positive role models by helping guide young people away from illegal drugs and promoting responsible leadership in their respective barangays.

Even late into the evening, the PYAP President remains committed to serving the youth with dedication, passion, and purpose.

LOOK | PYAP FO5 President Mico Jay Columbres proudly joined the 52nd Anniversary of the PAG-ASA Youth Association of the Philippines – Ang Kabataan Organizado (PYAP-AKO) and the Benchmarking Activity held in Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte.

The event served as an opportunity to celebrate the legacy of PYAP while strengthening youth leadership, sharing best practices, and building stronger partnerships among young leaders. Together, we continue to inspire, empower, and create positive change in our communities.

Statement of FO5 PYAP President Mico Jay Columbres

To our dear PYAP members and the 30 participants from Barangay Tumitus,

I have received reports regarding an incident that occurred during your visit to Barangay Vitali. First and foremost, I pray for the safety, healing, and well-being of everyone involved.

As members of the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP), we are called to remain calm, united, and respectful during any situation. While different people may have different beliefs and interpretations of what happened, I encourage everyone to avoid spreading rumors, misinformation, or statements that may create unnecessary fear or confusion.

Let us instead focus on supporting one another, staying vigilant, and following the guidance of our local officials, community leaders, and health authorities whenever needed. Our strength as an organization is shown through discipline, compassion, and unity.

I also encourage all PYAP members to continue praying for the protection and guidance of every participant and to look after one another during all PYAP activities. May this experience remind us to always prioritize safety, responsibility, and respect for every community we visit.

Together, let us remain strong, hopeful, and committed to serving our communities with integrity and love.
