𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦-𝐓𝐨-𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 | 𝐃𝐚𝐲 1

On the 8th of July, 2026, The AdZU Reserve Officer’s Training Corps conducted its first rounds of their room-to-room campaign within various classrooms of the campus from 1000 to 1200.

In each class’ NSTP session, Advance Officers entered and introduced the fundamentals and concepts grounded by the institution, along with the opportunities this course holds upon aspiring cadets. Here, they present the different options for them to choose in setting their ROTC journey with the given standards and overview of the activities that awaits them.

As they delve into a glimpse of the world of command, its view aims to gain the hearts and minds young college freshman to venture a new scope of principles and experiences that can uplift one’s character and forge greater memories and relationships through the essence of camaraderie.

𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐓𝐇 | 𝐃𝐚𝐲 3

On the 3rd of July, 2026, the AdZU Reserve Officer’s Training Corps concluded its three-day participation in AdZU OrSem with another engaging day at the organization booth in the MPCC from 0920 to 1700.

The final day gave freshmen students the opportunity to have hands-on interactions with various ROTC training equipment and exclusive organizational items on display. Guided by cadets, visitors were able to closely examine field gear, learn the purpose of different training materials, and appreciate the uniforms and equipment that symbolize the discipline, responsibility, and commitment expected of every cadet.

Beyond the exhibits, the booth continued to foster meaningful conversations as cadets shared their experiences and insights into the ROTC journey. These interactive encounters allowed freshmen to gain a deeper appreciation of the organization's mission while envisioning the growth, camaraderie, and sense of purpose that come with serving as future citizen-soldiers.

As the booth officially came to a close, the AdZU ROTC extends its gratitude to everyone who visited, participated, and showed interest throughout the three-day event. We look forward to welcoming the next generation of cadets who are ready to lead, serve, and make a difference.

On the 2nd of July, 2026, the AdZU Reserve Officer’s Training Corps continued its participation in AdZU OrSem through its organization booth at the MPCC, welcoming another wave of incoming freshmen from 0920 to 1700.

Throughout the day, cadets actively engaged with freshmen students, introducing them to the fundamentals of the ROTC program, its mission, and the opportunities it offers for leadership, discipline, and personal growth. Visitors explored various displays of uniforms, training equipment, and organizational merchandise while interacting with cadets who shared their experiences and answered questions about life in the corps.

More than an exhibit, the booth served as a space for meaningful conversations, allowing freshmen to gain a better understanding of the values of service, integrity, and commitment that define the Reserve Officer’s Training Corps. With every interaction, another step was taken toward inspiring future leaders to embrace the challenge and purpose of becoming part of the organization.

On the 1st of July, 2026, The AdZU Reserve Officer’s Training Corps sets off the first day of 𝐀𝐝𝐙𝐔 𝐎𝐫𝐒𝐞𝐦 with the introduction of the organization’s course and goals through the organization booth held at the MPCC from 0920 to 1700.

This activity aims to provide an overview of the values and events that come with the responsibilities of being an officer, showcasing relevant materials and equipment that represents duty upheld throughout the course, including its various uniforms and merchandise found in the institution.

The journey of a cadet may hold opportunities that can uplift one’s identity and bring direction through new perspectives and experiences. It is one that awaits a strong mind, and molds character that is held furthermore.

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏 𝑰𝒈𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝑪𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒕?

Is it the uniform worn in the daylight? How one earns the title, maybe the duties that come with it? The Corps approached those who have spent their college days under the world of command, bringing identity within their various lifelong roles, co-curricular ventures, and academical responsibilities. They have grown to refine direction to what means more to this title, and how much their journey has meant to be fulfilled in the eyes of their ambitions.

We commemorate these individuals who proudly laid their service in the entirety of their term. They embody the principles that inspire different batches of cadets who follows the same road, standing as a partner, a senior, a friend that marches forward with you in carrying the image of Ignatian Cadetship.

Their journey now is beyond their officership, just as their values are with the title they uphold. The Corps gives its full gratitude to them, and may stand beside them every step of the way.

𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐖 𝐍𝐆 𝐊𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐀𝐍!

On the 12th of June 1898, 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐭, 𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞, a defining chapter of the Filipino story unfolded.

Before a gathered crowd, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 was proclaimed, affirming the Filipino people's right to self-determination after years of struggle and sacrifice. As the Philippine flag was unfurled for the first time and the notes of the Marcha Filipina Magdalo resonated through the air, a nation stood united in its aspiration to be free.

That moment was more than a milestone in history—it was a testament to the courage of those who chose service over self, duty over comfort, and country above all else.

Today, we honor the patriots whose sacrifices laid the foundation of our sovereignty. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 who upholds the values of honor, discipline, and unwavering commitment to the nation. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐮𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞, 𝐬𝐨 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤.

On the 7th of June, 2026, The ADZU ROTC, along with the different communities of Zamboanga City, came together at R.T. Lim Boulevard for a Coastal Cleanup in celebration of World Oceans Day 2026. From students and volunteers to organizations and local advocates, everyone shared one goal to help keep our shores clean and protect the beauty of our oceans. Many cadets have joined this movement in asserting unity in obligation and driven passion to preserve and protect our waters.

It was more than just picking up trash. It was a reminder that small actions, when done together, can create real change. Inspiration is drawn from the efforts made by these individuals that form closeness in an ambition for a clearer future and shores that bring out the beauty of the city’s coastlines.

Thank you to everyone who participated and made the activity effective and meaningful. Let’s continue choosing habits that help protect our seas not just on World Oceans Day, but every day.
