Inspired by a simple truth from The Lorax, โ€œ๐‘ผ๐’๐’๐’†๐’”๐’” ๐’”๐’๐’Ž๐’†๐’๐’๐’† ๐’๐’Š๐’Œ๐’† ๐’š๐’๐’– ๐’„๐’‚๐’“๐’†๐’” ๐’‚ ๐’˜๐’‰๐’๐’๐’† ๐’‚๐’˜๐’‡๐’–๐’ ๐’๐’๐’•, ๐’๐’๐’•๐’‰๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ ๐’Š๐’” ๐’ˆ๐’๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ ๐’•๐’ ๐’ˆ๐’†๐’• ๐’ƒ๐’†๐’•๐’•๐’†๐’“,โ€ ๐ŸŒณ the EcoSeminar: Caring for the Earth, Caring for Us brought together Ateneo Psych ICare, the Ateneo Art Company, Ateneo Peer Circle, BEACON Publications, Ateneo Center for Environment and Sustainability (ACES), and the AdZU College Guidance and Counseling Office, held at CDCH, Ateneo de Zamboanga University. ๐Ÿค

The program opened with ๐๐ฌ๐ฒ๐œ๐ก ๐ˆ๐‚๐š๐ซ๐žโ€™๐ฌ ๐…๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐†๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ฅ ๐€๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ฅ๐ฒ for A.Y 2026-2027, led by President Katrina Sabuero, where the incoming officers were formally introduced and welcomed through an oath-taking ceremony. A start to a school year centered on commitment and care, both for the environment and for one another.

Through insightful talks and creative activities ๐ŸŽจ, psych students reflected on how caring for the Earth is also caring for ourselves and one another, because someone must speak for the trees. ๐Ÿ’š

This yearโ€™s Psych ICare Environmental Seminar brings together speakers whose work and experiences remind us that caring for the environment goes beyond awareness. Itโ€™s about taking responsibility, making intentional choices, and realizing that even small actions can create lasting impact.
