We are knocking on your kind hearts to support Yasmien Mandul, a 1st-year BS Environmental Engineering student, whose mother suffered a Hemorrhagic Stroke last January 11, 2026.

The family is currently facing overwhelming financial challenges. As of now, the medical bills have already reached ₱573,000, and expenses continue to climb due to urgent medical requirements and ongoing hospital care. It can take many forms, physical harm, emotional abuse, psychological control, economic deprivation, and neglect—often hidden behind silence and fear.

Every woman and every child deserves to live in a home and society where they are safe, respected, and valued. Ending VAWC begins with awareness, courage, and collective action—by listening to survivors, speaking out against abuse, and choosing compassion over indifference.

“In diversity, there is strength.” 🌈

The SOGIESC Summit 2025 with the theme held last October 3, 2025 at the WMSU CTE Social Hall wuth the theme "Equity without borders: Gender strategies for 21st Century- One University, One Equal Voice in Shaping Gender as Global Priority", was an empowering and enlightening gathering that united passionate advocates from various local gender clubs across WMSU. 💪✨

Representing the College of Engineering, the Gender Club proudly took part at the event with 10 passionate members, bringing their unique insights and strong commitment to the advocacy for equality and inclusion. ⚙️❤️

Hosted by the WMSU UGA, the summit aimed to promote understanding, inclusivity, and respect for all gender identities and expressions.

The event featured two insightful plenary sessions. First focusing on Safe Spaces, which emphasized the importance of creating environments where everyone feels protected, accepted, and free to express their authentic selves. 🏳️‍🌈💬 This session shed light on how safe spaces in schools, workplaces, and communities foster confidence, mental wellness, and a culture of empathy and respect for diversity. 🌸

The second plenary, centered on Gender-Fair Language 🗣️, encouraging participants to become more mindful of how the words we use can either empower or exclude others. It highlighted that language plays a vital role in shaping inclusive mindsets and challenged everyone to make everyday communication more respectful and gender-sensitive. ✨

Aside from the discussions, the event also featured fun and engaging team-building activities 🤝 that strengthened camaraderie among participants and encouraged collaboration across different colleges. These activities reminded everyone that unity and cooperation are key to creating a more inclusive and understanding community. 🌼

Together, let’s continue championing spaces where compassion, equality, and diversity thrive. 🌟

Promoting the 𝑽𝑨𝑾-𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔, a chance to express ideas, tell powerful stories, and turn ordinary spaces into extraordinary displays of imagination.

This VAW Bulletin Board shows a powerful message and igniting a cause to spread awareness, educate, and encourage students of college of engineering in creating a violence-free environment for women.

Let us unite for a VAW-free Philippines—because ending violence starts with us and a small things can make a bigger impact.

The COE-Gender Club compete in this year 'VAWtle of the Brains: Quiz Bee Competition'.
This event, aimed to promote a VAW-Free Philippines through intellectual engagement. This participation shows our cause and advocacy for gender equality and raising awareness about VAWC.

Together, we proved that unity and knowledge can drive meaningful change.
